Does a belief of a thought make it so?

Updated on April 30, 2015

If a belief is a thought?

If a belief is a thought I keep thinking then, Is it possible that if I think I am a Power ball jackpot winner than I am? Has anyone tried seriously thinking themselves into wealth or health or love? I would love to hear anyone's story that has come true because of their thoughts. I have read of different philosophies on life and abundance but I have not physically experienced large sums of cash or the dream life that I have always imagined. So I am just looking for the missing link between knowing what I want and actually manifesting it into real life.

I knew a person once who wanted a certain house. They wrote a description of it and put it in the back window of their car and within less that 3 months they got the house that they were asking for. So was that just a coincidence or was it going to happen anyway? Did they just will it into being by writing the description down and displaying it?

It makes me wonder what that actual step was that made that particular house show up for them and If there is any way of knowing the time period in which whatever it is you are asking for shows up or is it all just random happenstance? It intrigues me how certain things seem to happen for some people and not for others. What is the magic ingredient? Is it just having faith and believing something will happen or is it something entirely different all together? Do you believe that you can just think something into existence?

These are some interesting sayings:

"Whatever your mind can conceive and can believe it can achieve." Napoleon Hill

"Whatever we think about and thank about we bring about." John Demartini

"Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are always right." Henry Ford

These men must have experienced something in their lives to make them believe that their thoughts could bring forth their desired results or they wouldn't have made the above statements right?

Our personal beliefs play a huge role in how we view our lives and the world around us. There are two major things that influence our beliefs, our emotions and our logic. Our logic observes and deduces whereas our emotions take on assumptions of probable future events occurring. The combination of both the emotional and the logical sides of ourselves form our personal beliefs.

Once these beliefs are fully accepted they become our personal operating system. All input from this point forward will be adjusted to fit our beliefs. So our version of reality is a creation of our beliefs. Now that being said, this takes us back to the original question, If a belief is a thought I keep thinking then if I believe it ,it has to come, right?

Well our belief does not change reality or truth. We may sincerely believe something to be true but we may be sincerely wrong. We can not absolutely prove matters of faith, nevertheless we should exercise due diligence to validate their reliability so as to find the one that gives us the most confidence. Belief should be rational; a conviction that is grounded in evidence. We should not believe what we suspect to be untrue.

Some people say "If you believe it is real for you , then it is real for you." The only problem with this is that if it is true it should be true for everyone not just for some right? Well there is a fine line there and that is one's own belief system. Every individual has his or her own belief system set in place and it is not the same as everyone else,s. So who is right and who is wrong?

There is no right or wrong view. There is simply whatever you believe there is. We are all so very diverse and opinionated and that doesn't make us wrong or right. It just makes us, us. If we were all alike and of the same opinions what a boring world that would be.

Here is to believing in yourself enough to know what is true and real for you in your life. That being said, if any of you have thought your way into your dream life let me know how you got there. I do believe it is possible I'm just not sure about the how.

I look forward to hearing your experiences regarding this subject matter.

Thank you very much.

I have purchased the lottery tickets or scratchers etc..I have done the action but just keep waiting for the ultimate result of actually winning :o) LOL I also have done feng shui and I have made a storyboard with pictures of all the things that i would like to draw into my life etc...but to no avail. That is why I am searching for the missing link. So if you have a specific action in mind ,please do tell!!! Thanks!!!
