If I Take My Eyes off of YOU

Updated on May 20, 2012

HE saves!

Source

What I have learned

I have learned if I take my eyes off of our Lord I get into so much trouble.

I have been told that I live in a fantasy world so what have I learned from this? Not to live in a fantasy world and to be grateful for what I got.

All I can say is I have peace now.

We all make mistakes but we have a forgiving Lord that loves us and we are saved by grace.

I have a husband that loves me. He has made a lot of mistakes and so have I.

I have to admit I have been unhappy for so long, and I had left My Lord out of the picture and that’s what made me unhappy. But it was all my own doing. I can’t blame anyone except myself.

The Law of Empowerment:

God Changes us from the inside out.

Romans 5: 12:21

God’s leadership is transformational. Paul carefully compares and contrasts Adams work with Christ’s and shows the fundamental changes God makes in us. He radically and permanently changes His people from the inside out.

God never demands conduct that he doesn’t first empower His followers to achieve.

Romans provide a virtual survey of New Testament theology and of God’s empowering leadership:

1-He liberates

He frees us from chains, stains, and pain of the past.

2-He elevates:

He embraces us and lifts us up to reign with HIM.

3-He educates:

He gives us wise counsel and future direction.

4-He compensates:

He fills areas where we are weak or lack competence.

5- He Motivates

He is our source of vision, hope and purpose.

6- He regenerates.

He transforms us to live on a higher level by His supernatural resources.

7- He activates.

He commissions us to obey and move forward in His cause.

I belong to you God!

Angels eagerly watch

So ready to catch

The heart broken

God reveal the thought

Open my heart

With God’s revealing Love

When you feel helpless, remember these words.

If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Whatever your personal leviathan, try doing less resisting and allow God to do more assisting. In rhyme with HIM, “let the Spirit do the work!”

Powerful God, thank YOU for my weakness, Help me to let go and let YOU do YOUR work in me.

I will make a list to you my Lord of the several areas where I need to give to YOU!

      Hi Debra, this takes my mind back to the book of Samuel when saul told samuel the LORD has turned away from me and He replied to Him and said it is you SAUL who have turned away from the LORD. How many times we let go His hands because we want to go our own way. Most times we look for him is when troubles come our way.

      If only we could always have sweet fellowship with GOD, trials and test would be nothing to pass because we will have more FAITH TO TRUST IN GOD.

      Keep walking in the light of the LORD and don't drift far from shore because you won't hear what GOD have to say :)

      Thanks for sharing

      ~~~Shalom and peace be unto you~~~
      So touching and so true! This piece might've revealed a side of you that makes sense Debbie. Happiness can only be fulfilled with peace within. Men has tried to apeace his mind with relievers of the body, but usually forgets about the mind and the soul. Poetry in his highness can bless you for a lifetime.
      Deborah you said it all...without God, we can be most miserable. I read the whole book of Lamentations in the Bible yesterday...talk about DISCOURAGEMENT, misery, and the awful way people had lived without their God! I am so thankful for God's mercy, especially His GRACE (FAVOR) which he Pours on us at all times. And works things out...always. Your title is phenomenal: "If I take my eyes off you"...I ask Him every day to remind me of His Presence moment by moment...it is the only answer to everything in life. Thank you for this very encouraging Hub. We have all made mistakes, but God is the One we can always turn back to and He always welcomes us into His arms again...we are His Lights shining in the darkness. Blessings, Sparklea :) Voted up and beautiful :)
      Wonderful poem. You know I always say this line as a prayer "Lord even if I forget you, please Lord do not forget me - whatever I do, however I maybe, please forgive me". He is forgiving and kind, lends a helping hand to everyone,voted up.
      Spiritually inspiring was my first thought! "We all make mistakes but we have a forgiving Lord that loves us and we are saved by grace" If we can remember that we can be happy. This was a beautiful piece. Voted up and awesome.
