Jeffrey Bartell's End of the World Theory
Who is Jeffrey Bartell?
Jeffrey Bartell is a character in the movie, "End of the Harvest." It is a fictional movie by Rich Christiano films. It was a very engaging movie that will keep your mind thinking if the theory about the end of the world is true.
In this movie, a man named Matt (David A.R. White) was studying Bartell's End of the Word theory. Jeffrey Bartell was a college student who wrote a thesis in 1949 about the End of the world.
After watching the movie, I wonder if there was really a Jeffrey Bartell. I was curious if he wrote that thesis about the end of the world in 1949, because he was inspired by the nation of Israel being reborn and its people returning to their native land.
I started to searched the internet hoping to find Jeffrey Bartell's theory. I came across a website with the real Jeffrey Bartell - he was not the one who wrote the theory in 1949, that Bartell is fictional. This Jeffrey Bartell is a friend of Rich Christiano ( the film maker); I learned from his website that they've been using this theory in their Bible studies. Rich Christiano was planning to make a movie regarding this theory, and "End of the Harvest" was made.
I was fascinated with the movie and the theory of Jeffrey Bartell about the end of the world. There was a lot of Biblical discussion on this matter. It made me think of my life and the life to come in eternity. I believe that after this life, I would face eternity. Those who believe in the Lord Jesus as Savior, will enjoy living with him forever.
I believe we are in the last days. You hear of wars and rumors of wars. There's a lot of calamities around the world. Is the world come to an end? Nobody knows, only God knows when the end will come.
The real Jeffrey Bartell is a friend of Rich Christiano, they used his name in the movie, "End of the Harvest." Here are some comments on Mr. Bartell's site.
"I like Rachel have stumbled upon your blog because I was looking to verify if a college student with your name really wrote a thesis in 1949 analyzing when the world would end. How did an idea at a BIBLE study become the central theme in a movie? Thank you."
"No, Katherine, the film was fiction. The filmmaker is a friend of mine and he used my name. The Bible does support the thesis presented in the film about 7 days being associated with 7000 years of human history, and the strong possibility that the Lord will return sometime around the year 2000. Obviously, we don't know the exact timing of His return. Our Bible study on this subject many years ago inspired Rich (the filmmaker) to write a script which would allow him to get this information out."
I realized that it's not only me that's very interested in knowing if there is a Jeffrey Bartell and if the end of the world theory is true.

Jeffrey Bartell's Theory in the movie, "End of the Harvest"
Below is Matt's explanation of Bartell theory in the movie:
Jeffrey Bartell was a college student who wrote a thesis in 1949 about his theory on the End of the world. Bartell theory was based in Isaiah 46 - "God declares the end from the beginning. This leads Bartell to the book of Genesis and the Creation Story. Why God created the world in 6 days and rested the 7th day, when He could just say the word and everything will be created. To Bartell the 7 days of creation has its meaning and significance. The old testament is full of foreshadowing of the future events that will happen, like Abraham was going to offer his son Isaac, was the picture of God sending His Son, Jesus to died on the cross for our sins. The Bible says that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is one day. The 6 days of creation means 6,000 years the time men would have on this earth; and the millennial reign of Christ is the 7th day where God rested." As Matt said in the movie - "So it made sense to Bartell that God would set up a seven thousand year period for man to occupy the earth; with the last thousand years being a time of rest when Jesus comes back to set up His earthly kingdom, as spoken in Revelation 20." Israel has a big part in this theory, Hosea chapter 6 talks about Israel, God's chosen nation who was always rejecting God. The nation was going to be torn apart...when Jesus came, Israel rejected Him as their Messiah, so God scattered the nation of Israel all over the world. For 1900 years there was no nation of Israel, but God said after two days, or 2 thousand years, I will revive thee and you, Israel, will live in my sight. The scattered Israel became a nation again in 1948."
Are we nearing the end? Is Christ coming would be in this generation? If Christ will come today, are you ready to face Him? Have you thought of life after death?
You can learn about this theory by watching "End of the Harvest."
In the movie, "End of the Harvest", Matt was not sure if Bartell theory is true, he said it could be, but this he knew, that the end of the world happens everyday to some people, because they die without a relationship with Jesus Christ...
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.
Does this make sense to you?
