A Meditation Practice

Updated on October 23, 2012

My Meditation

One with My Self

Meditation for me is emptying my mind, body and heart from any concerns in my total horizon. This is the time to invoke my Higher Self to take charge of my life especially when I had done all the logical thinking and nothing happens.

Following is the basic of all my meditations practices;

I go to a quite place alone;

I sit in a lotus position or lie down in silence;

I breath rhythmically as I slowly close my eyes;

I am now relaxing my body and y mind;

I am now aware of my slowing pulse beats

Unwinding and relaxing more and more in each rhythmic breath

I am now one with my self;

It's only me, my life and nothing else.

My body is now feeling lighter and lighter;

A Light appears inside my forehead between my brows;

It is moving fast, changing forms from tiny dots to spirals of smoke

To triangles, shadows, brightness and various colors traversing and mixing to create forms;

Then some specific forms appear like clear photographs of places, people, events and objects;

I just watch them, I am detached, no feelings, no interpretations, just watch as I contnue to relax with my slow breath.

Gradually and tenderly, I focus my mind to things that I want to see and do;

Observing my feelings; some feelings of delight and desires;

Then the visions appear just as I want them to be;

Feelings of love, beauty, admiration, and joy gradually enfold me;

I am now deep within my soul;

To the core and nucleus of my existence;

Meeting my Higher Self and the Divine within me;

Awaiting the Divine Guidance and Message;

I am now connected to the Source of all Life;

I am one with the Universe;

Divine Light is Guiding me now;

I am now attuned to the Divine Plan of my life;

Divine Love is opening the way for me;

He is showing me the way now;

He walks before me and leads me on;

He is now creating miracles in my mind, in my body, and in all my affairs.

Now I am enjoying the beauty of nature, including me;

I now see and feel the beauty of life within me;

My life is precious along with the rest of all creations;

I am one with the Light;

I feel God's overflowing love for me;

All the love I need is already within my own heart;

I now share it it to everyone.

Everything that I need to sustain my precious life and to make my life full of bliss that I can channel to everyone concerned;

Is already within me and would manifest in my material plane in perfect timing.

I now open my eyes and I m wide awake;

To the material plane of my existence;

I feel so refreshed from that journey within me;

The Higher part of me where I draw my strength for my every day life;

I am strong knowing that deep within me is the source of what I manifest in the material world;

I have the balance and equilibrium of my consciousness as I live my life along with all creatures in this universe.

I know that God's Will works powerfully in my life.

I now accept and receive my blessings and share them to all;

For the highest good of all concerned. So be it. So it is.

      xstatic,

      Thanks for reading my hub and the visit to my page.

      I had started my Meditation activities when I was 17 years old using "Steps to Christ" by Ellen G. White. I wanted to achieve perfection and holiness...well I was young and my thinking was in the "perfectionist stage"...

      This is a beautiful and peaceful work. It is the second hub I have read this morning about this sort of thing. The other was "Questions, Questions."

      This one has some answers as well. I take Yoga twice a week from a really interesting man, born in Mongolia, who studied as a monk for several years in India. I also try to do some every morning at home. I will try this kind of meditation as well. The quieting of the mind, all those questions would be a good thing.

      YogaKat,

      Thanks for dropping by and for reading my meditation.

      I know that it's tough to focus on something that you really want to see in the process of meditation, but constant practice makes perfect. You don't have to try hard, in the spirit of fun, try this exercise.

      Make a collage of what you really want, or draw it and post it on the wall of your room. In this manner, you will always see what you really want so that during meditation this picture appears clearly...

      Happy meditating for you and God Bless.

      Great hub . . . thanks for sharing your meditation experience. I meditate best in the middle of the night when I canʻt sleep . . . letting go of all those worrisome thoughts can be tough sometimes. Focusing on the spot between my eyebrows and "ocean breath" help me to get there. Your description of lights and colors and pictures fits my experience. Focusing on things as Iʻd like to see them is something new for me to try:)

      Olde Cashmere,

      Thanks for your encouraging comment;thanks too for dropping by and the vote.

      I cannot imagine how I can enjoy life without the benefits of meditation...it's the force behind every dream...it is the vehicle towards the manifestation of whatever lifestyle I may wish for myself in all areas.

      Beautiful writing Jynzly, I loved the way you described the adventure you go on while in meditation. I experience similar things when I meditate but I always wait until I go to bed as I don't have peace and quiet during the day time. This is just incredible, the visions you get detail exactly what I experience every night. I loved this hub and thank you for sharing. Voted up, shared, useful, interesting, beautiful, and awesome :)

      Lady_E,

      Well, your one Tagalog gives me some sort of uplift...the common Tagalog response to "Salamat" is "Walang anuman", which means "You're welcome."

      Vladimir Uhri,

      Meditation is actually connecting your spiritual being to God or the Greatest Spirit or Intelligence. It's a personal thing. Meditation is prayer or praying, in another term or word.

      Hello. To me meditation is best when we speak Word of God according to Josh 1:8. :)

      I try to be Walky-Talky with God.

      jaswinder64,

      Thank you for the comment and for dropping by and also for following me. I will follow you as well.

      Yes, meditation is part of my life. I had started meditation when I was 15 years old in the Missionary School. The effect of meditation for the personality is enormous. It keeps physically healthy and strong; it builds strong character and spiritual maturity. I cannot see how people live a fulfilling life if they don't do meditation every now and then.
