Ghost Hunting in Savannah and Tybee

Updated on September 12, 2014

Savannah and Tybee Island Paranormal Investigators

Savannah, GA is deemed one of the most haunted cities due to its tragic and violent past. War, fires, epidemics - they have all left their mark and laid way for a restless Hostess City.

Popular locations include River Street, the Historic District, Colonial Park Cemetery and Bonaventure Cemetery.

Perhaps one of Savannah's most famous ghosts, Gracie's headstone at Bonaventure Cemetery

@julieannbrady: Savannah is an enchanting city. I lived there for 2 years and enjoyed every minute of it! There is definitely an atmosphere there and you can tell you are surrounded by spirits.

I've been feeling spooked a little lately, been under the weather and feeling connected to the after life for some reason. Actually been to Savannah and Tybee Island ... quite fascinated with the place and the history and I love spooky tales.

There's a ghost hunting organization near where I live and I've always thought it would be fun to see if they'd let me come along sometime. But I'd never actually have the guts to do it! Great lens!

I also think that ghosts and paranormal activity are around us because of violent pasts, or spirits with unanswered questions. Not all of these ghosts are bad, but most are, because of there violent past. I have recently spotted a ghost on our deer lease if you want to check out the picture go to my blog here -> nibiru

Just returned from a trip to Savannah and actually ate at the Pirates House. Our tour bus broke down as we drove into the parking lot ... blew a cooling hose at the door. Savannah is beautiful and I must go back for a haunting tour, preferably in October. Blessed by an angel !

I was in Savannah Georgia 3 years ago for a funeral and afterwards we decided to visit a graveyard. We ended up on our last evening visiting Colonial Park Cemetery. We took tons of pictures of all the old graves and our children were amazed to see so much history. Just before we left my youngest daughter, who was almost 4 at the time, shouted "Mommy, take my picture!". So, I did. When we got home I discovered I had caught the most unususal thing in the picture. There was an anomoly of some sort right over her head. It is almost like an orb only it isn't totally round. It was white, purpleish, and black. She also looked like she had a jacket with a hood over her head. It was the middle of August, there were no jackets or coats on anyone. To this day it is by far the best evidence I have ever caught. I am going back in July to do an 8 day investigation to see what else i can find.

Back in the early 70's, Savannah use to house both Moderate and lower incomed families

      by renting apartment units.

I can remember my parents playing cards in the kitchen, with the company of my Uncle and Aunt,

It would be evening 9pm or so and to avoid going to bed my parents would let me stay up

if I stayed quiet and stayed in the livingroom.

.We had an old floor model television, that sat in front of the stairway facing the couch.

The stairway had a stain near the bottom step, No matter how many times they painted over it,the stain would come back and I would sit on the couch watching tv..I would see a mist forming about middle ways on the stairs and would take form as it appeared to roll forward.

I remember my dad months later talking about a couple that use to live there apparently one of them was stabbed and fell down the stairs and bled to death.

Years later after changing names The whole Development was torn down.

It was known as Riverside Gardens.
