submit to authority

I may have heard the answer before, but it seems I still just can't let it be. It is the same old song, no none appears to have asked the one doing the task, how they should go about accomplishing it. They never seem to value your input enough to ask.

Submit to ALL authority?

Hebrews 13:17 (New International Version)Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Obey them, yes, well most times. How would one feel. about obeying your boss, to the point of commiting perjury?

If we were told not reveal either the whole truth, or omit certain details, by our boss, are we not lying?

What do we say, or don't say, when we know with certainty that the boss should inform his superiors, about an error they are about to commit and we bring it to their attention?

Obey them so their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

What if we, are also told, we can not spread the gospel any longer to our co-workers, should we submit to that authority as well.

God give me the strength, for I would like to have joy in my work as well, and who will look out for my joy, except the Lord

Nehemiah 8:10 (New International Version) Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." this is a Yes Men-Save the World trailer and not an actual breaking news story, I found this when I Googled, Yes man, after Googling, Why should we do what were told.

Profit, or prophets? Gain the world, or lose your soul?

LORD, help me if I'm wrong on this one.
Genesis 1:26 (New International Version)

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
Noah Websters 1828 Dictionary says;
RULE, v.t.
1. To govern; to control the will and actions of others, either by arbitrary power and authority, or by established laws. The emperors of the east rule their subjects without the restraints of a constitution. In limited governments, men are ruled by known laws.

If a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God? 1Tim. 3.

2. To govern the movements of things; to conduct; to manage; to control. That God rules the world he has created, is a fundamental article of belief.   How has man, managed to continue living, in a world he continues to destroy?
LORD we need you, we need you now.
Now that I have asked why, will our world leaders, tell us when we will do right by the world we all share? Do not deficate, where you eat.

      Thank you Artin2010,

      I have decided, sometime ago to follow Jesus. One true authority over all mankind, God.

      He alone, will judge my actions to see if I did good in His eyes.

      I pray for the gift of discernment, for all of us that are in these tough times.

      I would like to share this prayer;

      "God,grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change,

      Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. All praise be to God, who is my strength and his grace be sufficient for me. Amen.

      Welcome to hubpages! To thine own self be true! God is the supreme authority. Man is corrupt at all levels of being. It is recorded in the Bible (Old Testament) that Kings were unholy, whole tribes of people were mislead an convinced to believe in false gods and prophecy. Every since Adam and Eve were beguiled, tricked by Satan, thrown out of Eden and forced into a state of shame mankind has had the curse upon him. I am under the conviction that God wants us to discern right and wrong according to what each of us interprets from His Holy and inspired Word. That is the reason it is written and is the best selling book that should never have to be bought. Strength of faith is necessary to comprehend the Word, the Bible in its many different forms. The Shepard comforts us even in our time of confusion if we are wanting of understanding. Jesus came to earth to minister because God planned it that way and by His suffering, He took away our pain and sin, so that we could have a relationship with Him and be guided by the Spirit of Truth, which is available to all whom believe in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

      I believe that every situation in life that requires us to break Gods laws is a test of our faith and our duty to be God's elect. It is indeed hard to be put on the spot in life and have to decide between values and morales or money and food on the table. Good questions you ask here! God Bless you and may you have peace, regardless of what decisions you make.
