the coming of our lord Jesus Christ

Updated on May 13, 2011

The coming of our lord Jesus Christ

I read on the forum of hub pages that there was a prophecy, which said that the coming of Jesus Christ is very close (sometime in May 2011). It was said on the forum that similar prophecies had been heard in the past without fulfillment. I also read a controversial of a baby born with an inscription that Jesus is coming soon.

Those in the forum said the prophecy can not be true because nobody knows when the Jesus will return not even Jesus, himself, knows the day. It seems likely the case because even the disciples of Jesus did not know when it would be. Some of the disciples even thought they will see his return but they never did. Another interesting thing about the coming of Jesus, as recorded in the book of revelation, is the battle of Armageddon, which means it will not just be an easy surrender. It means Jesus is coming to fight if we go by the bible records.

It means some people, the bad men, will stand to fight for their survival. One can wonder how they are going to fight. I often wonder how it was recorded that the devil fought against God, his creator. How can the devil fight against God when God has the power? Some people will say that the devil has power. But who made all the powers? God created all things so it is difficult to understand how the power of the devil will match the power of God. Some people think it is just a story. That is why some people do not understand why things will happen and it will be linked to the devil as if God could not help in such situations.

Another issue of concern is the division among Christians so one can wonder which Christian sect will make it if Jesus comes? What is the fate of people of other religions? Well since we are not certain of how it is going to be. Jesus can come along with the other religious founder like Moses; Buddha among others or each of them will come and take their own. But if Jesus comes alone then it means there will be real need to reconsider the situation not only for non-Christian but for Christians. Some people hope to see the sky open one day upon us with a loud voice shouting it is time.

You just have to be ready because nobody knows the time if it will ever be as it was thought or by another method.

You said "we are all going to die" well the truth is that I have things I hope to do in the next months, years etc so definitely am staying behind because am not done yet, my God knows that. I am not afraid, Dave, and I am not counting days though I do not mind whatever happens because justice is the key given to me and there will be no judgment without justice.

Yup by May 21, 2011 according to Hub Prophet we will all be dead and gone. I'm counting down the days,"NOT"!

The Apostles of Jesus were very fortunate for they got to see Jesus during His ministry, through his death and even witnessed the fact that He indeed had been resurrected. I would have loved to have been there for that.
