The Power of Your Subconscious Mind

Updated on November 22, 2013

Let me start by saying this book should be a set work in schools! Joseph Murphy gets right to the core of exactly how the subconscious mind works, why it works, and how to use it effectively. The language is a little old fashioned (it was written a long time ago) but that didn't bother me at all, and in fact I found his writing really easy to follow, and easy to understand.

I've read a lot, and done a lot of research on the subconscious mind, and this is by far the most comprehensive, detailed and accessible information I've come across. It all makes perfect sense, and gives good logical reasoning as well as details of experiments and anecdotal evidence. Stories from real people combined with scientific theory and explanations make this an interesting and engaging read. I wish I'd come across it when I was a teenager! We (unfortunately) don't come into this world with a manual of how to "play the game" - but Joseph Murphy's "The Power of the Subconscious Mind" is the next best thing. I see it as the "how to play the game of life" rule book - the instruction manual. Some, of course prefer not to read the manual, and like to get stuck in immediately, but for those who would like guidance, I believe you've just found it! :)

Apart from being an excellent "instruction manual" for life, it's a great reference book as well. Once you've read it through, it's easy to access specific topics for reference since it's divided into short, easily accessible sub-chapters. I'm reading it for the third time, and each time I gain something new from it. I highly recommend it.

Beyond The Magic Pill: A Collection of the Insights of Illusions

Taking the Law of Attraction beyond the simplistic, and explaining why it works for some and appears to not work for others, and with great insight into self love, the power of unconditional love, and how to change other people, this book is written in a warm, conversational style, and contains tips, tools and exercises which are life-changing, and yet simple. Filled with "Aha!" moments and clearing up the confusion and misconceptions around controversial topics relating to the LOA, this is a simple but empowering read.

In this fabulously fascinating video, Gregg Braden gives his scientific explanations on the connection between everything, the power that flows through all that exists, and the nature of the universe. Excellent video, and highly recommended! Get yourself a beverage, make yourself comfortable, and enjoy! :)

What experience have you had so far with using the power of your subconscious mind? Have you read Joseph Murphy's book? And if so, what did you find most useful?
