The Messiah, literally the Anointed One means the expected king and deliverer king and deliverer of the Hebrews, who should free them from the yoke of aliens, and make them a great nation ruling over the whole world.

The majority of the Jews today totalling 14-15 million Jewish people in the world are still looking for the Messiah to come to rescue them from their enemies. They have been looking for 6000 years. Few Jews have accepted the fact that Jesus Christ came more than 2000 years ago and His followers totalling millions are all over the world. The spiritual part of the nation of Israel with Jesus ruling the world has been fulfilled. Throughout the world, Christians have accepted Jesus as the Christ, and everyday more and more are being added to the fold.

Jesus was from the line of King David of Israel whose ancestry can be traced back to the son of Abraham (Matthew 1:1). Why are the Jews so reluctant to accept the fact that Jesus, son of God is the Christ or Messiah to the Jews? It is puzzling for millions of gentile Christmas have accepted Him, but not His own people. They have shunned Him for more than 2000 years.

According to Numbers 1:46 in the Old Testament, it was suggested that 603,550 Hebrews left Egypt. They wandered in the wilderness for 40 years till all the adults died except Joshua and Caleb when they reached the Promised Land. During the Second World War, Hitler put to death 6 million Jews including men and children before Israel was resurrected as a nation in 1948 after nearly 2000 years of extinction. Is this a repeat of God's wrath for their wrongdoing in not excepting the Lord Jesus?

Quote from The Chosen People, Volume XVI. Issue 9, November 2010, written by Dr. Mitch Glaser, President,

"Some in the Jewish community suggest that there are more than 300,000 Jews who believe in Jesus, but I would place that number a bit lower - maybe 200,000. The number of believers in Israel has grown over the last two decades from just a few thousand to perhaps more than 15,000!"

200,000 out of 14 or 15 million is not even 10% of all the Jews in the world!

The United States is the largest Christian country in the world by population, followed by Brazil and Mexico.

Noted Christian author George Weigel notes that: "There were only 558 million Christians in the world in 1900 and there will be approximately 2 billion Christians by the middle of this year [2002], a huge increase." However, Christianity has been in a very slow decline for years as a percentage of world population. Weigel states: "...Christians were 34.5 percent of world population in 1900, and will be 33.1 percent in 2002."

Daniel prophesied about Jesus the Messiah who was to come to restore and build Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25). Christ's death was also predicted followed by sufferings and the destruction of the Temple (vs.26). Seventy years after the death of Jesus, Jerusalem was completely destroyed by the Romans (vs.26). Since the Temple was destroyed, there was no more sacrifice and oblation ceased (vs.27). The sacrificial worship of the Old Testament was gone and disappeared some 2000 years ago with the death of Jesus Christ.

The sacrifice of the blood of animals in the Old Testament was replaced by the blood of Jesus Christ. The sacrifice of animals' blood had to be renewed yearly whereas the blood of Jesus was once and for all. Jesus paid the price of atonement for our sins. Once a person is dead, he cannot resurrect by himself.

The New Covenant was confirmed by Jesus Christ in the Last Supper when Jesus offered the cup, saying, "This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me (1 Cor. 11:24-25). The New Covenant replaced the Old Covenant in the sacrifices and oblation of animals to atone for the sins of the people. The Holy Spirit was poured down into the hearts of the believers dwelling in them so long as they believed and observed the commandments of God.

Jeremiah 31:31,33b

  • Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
  • But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

1 Corinthians 11:24-25

  • And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
  • After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

Hebrews 13:20

  • Now the God of peace, that brought again from the death of our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the peace, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.

Hebrews 8:6

  • But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Hebrews 8:7

  • For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Hebrews 8:8

  • For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah

Hebrews 12:24

  • And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abe

Matthew 26;28

  • For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Acts 20:28

  • Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Romans 5:9

  • Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Hebrews 9:14

  • How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

G. RABBI reveals the Name of the Messiah

Israel Today wrote the amazing headline story about Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri who died at the age of 108 years on January 28, 2006. Shortly before he died he wrote on a note the name of the Messiah which was sealed and not to be revealed until a year later. His son revealed that Kaduri was talking and dreamed about the Messiah and that the Messiah had appeared before him. On April 30. 2007, the note which was sealed for a year was opened and revealed the name of the Messiah was Yehoshua, Yeshua, the Hebrew word of Salvation or Jesus. Kaduri revealed that the Messiah was coming very soon, but not before the death of Ariel Sharon. His followers were very confused by the revelation.

Ultra Orthodox Jewish leading teacher Kaduri was a highly esteemed, righteous man and his funeral was attended by more than 200,000 people. This revelation of Rabbi Kaduri was not reported in the local Jewish newspapers except Israel Today. Hopefully, this story will stir the hearts of the millions of Jews who are still uncommitted to Christianity.

It is a mystery why God had chosen an Ultra Orthodox Jewish Rabbi to reveal the name of the Messiah, which was contrary to the rule. Ultra Orthodox Jews are very opposed to Christianity, and God had chosen a 108 year old Ultra Orthodox Rabbi to open the hearts of the Jews. Time is running short and the Jewish nation is slow to accept Christianity with less than 10% Christians whereas the general world population is close to 33% Christians.

One Messanic rabbi said he was not worried about the figures for he quoted the Bbile which stated that until the fulness of the gentile Christians be full, the Jews would still be blind.

Romans 11:25

  • For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

The Messiah Has Come

Many Jews do not believe the Messiah has come, but do you?

When one disagrees they should give reason other than their "blind belief" suggests it, Einron.

You have the prerogative to voice your opinion, but I disagree about the two Messiahs.

I did get the message, Isaiah 11:1 say Jesus was from the stem of Jesse and the second messiah is to be from his root. If you know Sassafras trees have roots running underground that a feet away break ground like it's a new tree in a different location which man can't see the connection unless they dig to the root and follow it from the parent tree to the branch, you would know the root of Jesse require laborious digging to reveal the connection. Therefore, unless you know who the second messiah is and have dug up his roots you have no place to even speak about his family line.

You probably don't know Revelation 5:5 is about him, that Genesis 49:1 & 8-12 is and also Micah 5:2. I'll give you Genesis and Micah's interpretations so you can see it's Revelation's.

      Genesis 49:1 & 8-12.

1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days {at world's end}.

8 Judah {means praised}, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise {European nations since Jacob symbolizes Europeans}: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies {economic sanctions}; thy father's children (all other nations} shall bow down before {subject themselves to} thee.

9 Judah is a lion's whelp {young nation, offspring of another "queenly" nation, Great Britain}: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion {acting as an old nation}; who shall rouse him up {the only nation with nuclear weapons (Zechariah 5:1-4) who will make war with her}?

10 The sceptre {right to make law for the world} shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet {while walking on the laws she makes for other nations}, until Shiloh {the second anointed "son of man"} come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people {surviving the end of civilization} be.

11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine {see Isaiah 63:1-3}, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

12 His eyes shall be red with wine {bloodshot}, and his teeth white with milk {milk white, slightly yellow}.

      Micah 5:2

But thou, Bethlehem {House of Bread, USA is "world bread basket"} Ephratah {Plentiful, USA"Land of Plenty"}, though thou be little among {originally written "last" and scribe error made it "least" and now "little among"} the thousands of Judah {praised ruling nation since the beginning of civilization}, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in {living as them and not over them} Israel {the endurers of the end of the world}; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Don't those suggest the messiah would not come from the "symbolic & prophetic type" nation of Israel. Look how Isaiah 46:11" Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it" suggest he is not from Israel. On and on I can go showing the second messiah will not look nor act like a known Jew.

You still did not get the message. The Messiah is from the line of Judah and Joshua is from the line of Ephraim. There is no prophecy of two Messiahs and God only sent his son Jesus and not two sons into the world.

      The name Jesus {believed to be a transformed spelling for the Roman supreme god named Janus} would not have been given to a Hebrew child by Jews is why there is no actual records of Jesus nor do any Jews know anything about a person with that name. You must remember, it was Constantine's crusades which made Christianity spread according, to Revelation 6:2 he sent missionaries out preaching "the story about Jesus" {crown} and if they didn't accept it they used weapons {bow} and killed them until they accepted their Jesus. {That's why so many wars were and are fought by Christian nations.}

When you look at the the Prophet like Moses (Deut. 18:15 & 18) prophecy you find Moses took the "prophetic type" Israel into the wilderness and Joshua {meaning "I am that I am is my salvation"} them into the "prophetic type" promised land. That's another reason the divine provided a pseudonym name so people wouldn't know the truth and become saved before "the harvest of souls time" (Rev. 14:15) in these last days.

Thus, the Hebrew name for Jesus would have been Joshua because, according to his words (John 14:2-3), he's scouting the true promised land and will rapture us into it one at a time per Matthew 20:1-16. Thus, Eliyehu, the second messiah, will be the prophet like unto Moses to lead us across the "red sea" {Battle of That Great Day of God almighty (Rev. 16:14)} where the unsaved will spill "a sea of blood" and into the millennium where Joshua {Jesus} raptures us from. Do you remember Israel got their land one tribe at a time? Thus, the New Testament and events thereafter fulfills the prophet types of the Old.

OH,. I didn't say in my answer to your first, since the second rock was smitten twice He had to be born in order to be smitten twice, once smiting represents his new birth and the other his 72 hours in the earth.

And, yes, I do remember Moses renamed Oshea Joshua.

Joshua belonged to the Old Testament and Jesus belonged to the New Testament. Jesus comes from the line of Judah. Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Joshua was the son of Nun (Numbers 11:28). Joshua was also called Oshea the son of Nun (Numbers 13:8) of the tribe of Ephraim, son of Joseph (Genesis 41:52).

Numbers 13:16 - And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.

The first birth was the person given the pseudonym of Jesus to hide the fact there's prophecy of 2 messiahs and because there would be little actual record of Jesus' being a person. The second is in Revelation 12 because in chapters 1 verse 1 and 4 verse 1 we clearly see nothing in the entire revelation had happened prior to the vision being given therefore, is how I interpret the woman.

Where in the Bible was it predicted that the Christ was born twice? Jesus fits the prophecy well. I know some people have alluded Joshua as the Messiah, but he does not completely fit the profile.

Somehow you have overlooked the many prophecies which reveals two different messiahs, Joshua {Jesus} and Eliyehu the latter messiah, the New Testament uses the pseudonym Jesus to represent them both. You can find on my hub some details and 3 prophecies of the two.

The story about Rabbi Yitzchak is directed at the Jews who have still rejected Jesus Christ. There is also a rumour that many Jews have accepted Jesus Christ, but because of possible persecution are keeping silent. Hopefully, they will openly acknowledge our beloved Jesus Christ openly and throw caution to the wind. You cannot be a silent admirer, but must accept the Lord in front of the world.

I love that story about Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri I have heard it before.

One day they will come and they will recognized their Messiah, Christ, and King. Their eyes will be opened and they will worship Him when the fullness of the gentiles comes as your last quoted verse states.
