How Satan whispers in Ears and Allah shouts to the heart

Updated on March 20, 2013

We all know that in our lives Two forces are always at work : Satan and Allah. But allah’s force is more powerful and it is up to us whether we resist his message or not, to ignore satan. Sometimes it so happens that we are confused about something and then we switch on our television and suddenly we hear an imam talking about and giving a lecture on the same topic that we are doubtful about and sometimes going through some magazine we find a relevant topic in it which clearly tells us what is right and what is wrong. Then there is our inner voice which keeps stopping us from doing something wrong. All this is not coincidence, it is the way of allah sending his message across to us. I have also been a victim of satan’s whispering but fortunately, through allah’s guidance I overcame this situation and succeeded in coming out of the depression and the mental struggle I was going through. I have put my experience in words and can be read on the hub How dua solved my problems and changed my life

Below I have made an effort to explain briefly what these “satan’s whispering” are, how they effect people’s life and how to get free from his clutches.

What are Satan’s whisperings?

Satan's whispering are the worthless doubts, guesses and negative thoughts that occur in our minds and stops us from making the right decisions. They cause meaningless fears, ruins the ability to think and reduces the confidence. They also make us worry unnecessarily and we keep asking ourselves questions like "Will something happen to me? What if I become ill? What if I die at a young age? Will I have a good life?" etc.

Effects of Satan’s whispering

  • It is the main cause for all mental illness and mental disorders.
  • People listen to satan’s commands and harm themselves and others.
  • They waste their lives on useless goals and lose in both this world and the hereafter. Most of the time they are unable to make right decisions on issues such as education, work etc. They always ask themselves: "Am I doing the right job?" or "Would it be better if I was studying in some other school etc.
  • They are unable to acknowledge and recognize Allah, as required, or live as allah wants us to.
  • They feel they are losers and constantly cross-examine themselves. They are always in a state of confusion and most of the time remain angry with the world.

How does satan approach

Satan has full knowledge of peoples' weak spots, and so approaches them from these angles. For example, he tries to frighten people with various types of fear, such as of the future, death, poverty, or hunger.

How to differentiate between satan’s voice and our inner voice

Any act that is sin or leads us to harm ourselves or others and anything that becomes a cause to worry and increases anxiety fear and depression and lust then these are satan’s words. Allah is our friend and by obeying him we can only experience inner peace and true happiness.

How to become free of Satan's whisperings

To become free from satan’s whisperings we must do the following:-

  • Seek refuge in Allah and live and act as our Lord wills as it is said in the Qur'an:

As for those who fear Allah, when they are bothered by visitors from Satan, they remember and immediately see clearly. (Surat al-A'raf, 201)

If an evil impulse from Satan provokes you, seek refuge in Allah. He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. (Surat al-A'raf, 200)

  • The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Satan runs through the blood veins of son of Adam, but when he remembers Allah, Satan retreats!”
  • Make Astighfar (seeking forgiveness of Allah) saying: Astaghfiru Allaaha al-`azheem min kulli dhanbin wa atoobu ilayhi. (I seek refuge in Allah, the Tremendous, from all of my sins, and I repent to Him.)
  • Remember Allah and try to live a pious life. By arming ourselves with the weapon of dhikr and ikhlas (sincerity in worship of Allah), we can defeat Satan.

Every last Muslim and worshipper of Allah that has ever lived until now, is at this very second as you read this message, burning in Hell. They will never ever escape, they will never get out, and they will never have the hope of ever getting out, for the blasphemy of the Truth which came first and was written first, contained in the Holy Bible.

You cannot have two books, saying the exact opposite in every last perfect detail, from one god. Either the Christian God, Jehovah - the God is Israel - is God, or your Allah, the god of Mecca, is god. They cannot both be god.

...The Holy Bible promises, that you cannot have the real God, Jehovah (the God of the Christians in Europe and North America who fills all your 3rd world, poor, dirty, ugly, nasty, hungry, Muslim countries with modern technology, medicine, scientific advances and electronic mod cons) without accepting Jesus as Him and Jesus as His Son, simultaneously. Jesus is Jehovah Himself, who came to Earth to save everyone from the sins you will carry on your death to Hell, and had to be born to do so, to be able to walk on this Earth.

    Without are all DEAD!

    Isaiah 14: 13-14

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

    Galatians 1:8-9

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Who is your Allah coming after, with another Gospel other than the Gospel of the Bible, which says Jesus is God, and can be proven to be true by giving yourselves to Him and seeing your eyes, minds and understanding opened?!

The statement made by this blogger: (at the bottom blog)

I found the above mentioned earlier statement which it is similar.

Sound familiar your statement which related to this ayat:

    (28) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I don't tell you that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor (that) I know the Unseen; nor I tell you that I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me." Say: "Are the blind and the one who sees equal? Will you not then take thought?"

    ( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #50

The light that you are mentioned more like flaming fire of piercing brightness. Just like in chapter As Shaafat 182: 1-11

I want to leave my husband I just dont know what to do. The reason for this is bcoz he betrayed my trust this was a one off but that one thing is just killing me from the inside he has done everything to gane my trust for the last two years but i feel I cant go on with him no more I dont have no one that I can talk to like my parents coz I lost them at a young age I have no sisters or brothers and to say if I have friends I dont coz I have little children and I give them all my time. I do know very well Allah is with me at all times he has help me with all my decision in life but I feel that Allah has given us the understanding that if you feel confused you should always ask some one who has a better knowledge and understanding of islam if you can advise me on this matter it would be very much appreciated jazakallah :-)

im sorry for the situation you are in

your heart and your mind are confused, the best was to bring peace in them is to read the Qur'an daily and make dua and Allah to help you to protect you from satans whispers. then you will inshallah be in peace. i feel this is a disguised peace because Allah is testing you on what you will do.

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal .

O Allah , I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt …and overpowered by men (i .e . others) .
