S.P. Tre Penne is the last club to qualify for the 2013/14 Champions League first qualifying round. They will join FC Lusitanos, EB/Streymur and Shirak FC. They are a Sanmarinese football club from the city of San Marino. They play in Girone B of the Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio in San Marino. Their manager is Stefano Ceci and were lead by Enrico Cibelli with eight goals during the regular season.

They won the 2012-13 championship via playoffs. In the double elimination tournament they started off on a down note. Losing in first round match-up against Murata 2-1, next they faced Cosomos and needed to win 4-3 on penalties after finishing 0-0 in normal time. In the third round a rematch with Murata was waiting, they didn't disappoint winning 2-0. In fourth round Tre Penne defeated Folgore 2-0 to advance to fifth round. They defeated La Fiorita in fifth round to advance to championship game. After playing to a 0-0 draw Tre Penne won 5-3 on penalties over Libertas to earn berth in Champions League.

Tre Penne has a 1.383 club coefficient while San Marino has a country coefficient of .916 which is 53rd out of 54 countries. Tre Penne does not have a good record in European matches. They lost 11-0 to F91 Dudelange in last years Champions League first round. In 2011/12 they lost 9-1 to FK Rad in first round Europa League. IN 2010/11 they lost in second qualifying round of the Europa league to HSK Zrinjski Mostar 13-3.

San Marino also has not had a great record in Champions League play. In 2008/09 Murata lost 9-0 to IFK Goteborg. In 2009/10 Tre Fiori lost 2-2(5-4p) to Sant Julia. In 2010/11 Tre Fiori lost 7-1 to Rudar Pljevlja. In 2011/12 Tre Fiori lost 5-1 to Valletta. Last year was Tre Penne's chance to advance and they were destroyed 11-0 by F91 Dudelange.

Tre Penne will be a seeded club in the first qualifying round so that means they will face either Lusitanos or Shirak. On June 24th we will find out who they will face. First round matches will be played 2/3 July and 9/10 July. This will be their best chance of advancing to next round.
