2013/14 Europa League: Rudar Pljevlja advances to second qualifying round.

Heading into their second leg contest Rudar Pljevlja of Montenegro held a 1-0 aggregate lead on MIKA of Armenia. The site of the second leg looked to benefit MIKA as it was played at the MIKA Sport Complex in Yerevan, Armenia. Damjanovic scored in the 16th minute to give Rudar that 1-0 win at home. That leg was played at Podgorica City Stadium in Podgorica, Montenegro.

MIKA was easily the dominate team in the first half. Their dominance was rewarded in stoppage time as Ghazaryan put the home club in the lead 1-0 after an assist from Mkrtchyan. MIKA had four total attempts on goal, three of those were on target but were saved. On the other side Rudar had three total attempts but nothing was close to going in. MIKA was aggressive on both sides as they committed ten fouls compared to only two for Rudar. With a date Slask Wroclaw of Poland waiting the winner in the second qualifying round they entered the second half square at 1-1 on aggregate.

Second half action was intense from the start as both clubs wanted to advance. The first substitution was made in the 46th min as MIKA sub in Muradyan for Arman Hakobyan. Kaludjerovic of Rudar received the first yellow card of the match in the 47th minute with a hard tackle.

Sljivancanin of Rudar got a good attempt on goal but Khachatryan(MIKA) was there for the save in the 49th min. MIKA made another substitution in the 53rd min bringing in Shahinyan with Arakelyan going out.

Rudar's Jeknic recieved a yellow card in the 56th minute as play was heating up between the clubs. MIKA had three good chances of scoring another goal as Muradyan missed the target in 58th and 59th minutes. Mkrtchyan missed in 61st minute.

Sensing they needed a change Rudar put in Bambur and took out Sljivancanin in 61st minute. Everything slowed down for a little while while the clubs looked to find an opening. Rudar made another change in 74th minute when Sekulic came in and Kaludjerovic came off.

MIKA's Alex recieved a yellow card in 75th minute. Damjanovic of Rudar missed the target also in 75th minute. MIKA would not be outdone as Satunyan had a good shot on goal but it was saved by Vuklis of Rudar. In the 81st minute Rudar had a good shot of leveling the score when Vlahovic had a great shot on goal. It was saved by Khachatryan.

The 85th minute proved to be the killer for MIKA as Rudar's Stojanovic scored on the pass from Sekulic to level this leg at 1-1 but give Rudar a 2-1 aggregate lead. MIKA looked for a spark in 88th minute when they brought in Adamyan for Gev. Poghosyan but it was to no avail. Rudar made one finally substitution in stoppage time as Rustemovic came in for Brrovic.

Final Score of second leg was 1-1 but with Rudar's 1-0 win in first leg they advance to the second qualifying round of this years Europa League while MIKA wait for next year.
