2015 NCAA College Football Week Fifteen Picks

Updated on December 5, 2014

The final weekend of college football is upon us (except for next week's lone game of Army vs. Navy), with eight conference championships highlighting a fourteen game spread that includes match ups involving every one of top nine teams in the College Football Playoffs rankings. This week I'll be highlighting the top trends for each games in hopes of giving various forms of different information to use when you're deciding who to pick for each game. Before getting into this week's games, here is a quick rundown of how I did last week -

UCF -12 South Florida

Central Florida dominates on both sides of the ball, winning 16-0 to set up a battle against East Carolina this weekend for the American Athletic Conference Championship. (W)

UCLA -3 Stanford

UCLA fails to clinch the Pac 12 South title as they get embarrassed at home against Stanford, 31-10. Head coach Jim Mora is now 0-6 against Stanford and Oregon in his three years at UCLA. (L)

Colorado State -7 Air Force

Another team with a chance to get into the conference title games chokes it away, as Colorado State loses to Air Force on a field goal with no time left, 27-24. (L)

Cincinnati -5 Temple

The Bearcats win their sixth game in a row, thanks in part to running back Mike Boone scoring a touchdown in his sixth straight game, as they beat Temple 14-6. (W)

Utah -9 Colorado

The Utes need a fourth quarter interception returned for touchdown to get past Colorado on the road, 38-34. (L)

Mississippi State -1 Ole Miss

With a chance to get into the College Football Playoff with a win, Mississippi State lays and egg and get outplayed by Ole Miss, losing 31-17. (L)

Michigan State -13 Penn State

The Spartans return the opening kickoff for a touchdown and never look back, beating down Penn State, 34-10. (W)

Georgia Southern -14 UL Monroe

Georgia Southern never comes close to covering, needing two fourth quarter touchdowns to get past UL Monroe, 22-16. (L)

Fresno State -10 Hawaii

Up 28-0 after three quarters, Fresno State essentially stops trying and lets Hawaii get the ultimate backdoor cover as they score a touchdown with seconds left to cover the spread against Fresno, 28-21. (L)

Washington -3 Washington State

Washington dominates the Apple Cup, beating Washington State in Pullman 31-13. (W)

PICK Wisconsin -4. I wasn't going to pick any games this week and just go with trends, but due to a broken ankle suffered by J.t. Barrett, Ohio State is stuck playing their third string quarterback who has attempted a total of nineteen passes in the past two seasons and now has to go against Wisconsin's number two rated pass defense in the country. Difficult not to go with the Badgers on this one.
