The ACC finished with a 33-23 record in there non conference games including the bowls games as well last year. They haven't been to a been to a national title game since 2000 that's win Florida State was upset by Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl 13-2. The Noles were stopped from winning back to back title as they had won the national title a year ago defeating Virginia Tech led by quarter back Michael Vick in 1999 in the Sugar Bowl 46-29. They haven't faired well in bowl games as well, Virgina Tech lost to Stanford in 2010 Orange Bowl 40-12. Clemson and Virginia Tech have been taken down by Alabama, first it was Clemson in 2008 season as the Tigers came into the game ranked in the top ten but the Tide beat them down 34-10 then the following year Virginia Tech went down to Alabama 34-24. Although Clemson did end Auburn's streak and took home the ACC title as well at the end of the season they did get beat by arch rival South Carolina 34-13 last season. One thing about the ACC they a lot more bcs conference non conference games than any other bcs conferences. I have picked 24 non conference games for the ACC this season. They haven't been able to break into the conversation a being a top notch bcs conference like the sec or big 12 but they will get there chances to prove they belong.
