1. 200 not out against South Africa in 2010

This match was a study class by Sachin Tendulkar - how to make a big total in One Day Internationals. Sachin scored 200 runs with 60% of boundaries and sixes. He scored 25 boundaries and 3 sixes in this match. Sachin took 56 singles and 13 couple of runs to make 200 runs. He faced 147 balls in total from which he did not made any runs from 50 balls, so he actually made 200 runs from 97 balls. Sachin's strike rate was 136.05 runs. In the One Day International strike rates he was in 2nd position. Against Kenya Sachin scored 140 runs from 101 balls and which is the best strike rate. We can see more innings like these from other players but the record of first man in the One Day Internationals to score 200 will be in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. This record gives happiness not only for the Indians but also for all the cricket lovers.

2. 143 against Australia in 1998

This was the final league match in the Sharjah cup. Australia has already reached in the finals. India should win this game to reach finals. India can also qualify to finals if they made under 30 runs margin even if they lose. In the first innings Australia scored a big total of 284 runs with 7 wickets fallen. The match was stopped for some times because of the sandstorm. So the score was revised and India then needed 276 to win the match and they only required 237 runs to reach the finals. The sand storm again stopped the game and again the runs and balls were revised. 94 runs from 87 balls was the final target. After the sand storm the crowd in the stadium saw the sachin's batting storm. He scored 143 runs from 131 balls. He scored 5 sixer and 9 fours in that innings. Australia finally won that match but India qualified for the finals.

3. 134 not out against Australia in 1998

Australia started the first innings in this match. This day also have another specialty that sachin is having his 25th birthday. Australia took 272 runs with 9 wickets fallen. Australia thought that it was a good score but the batting of sachin has made a great change in the game. Sachin showed marvelous batting skills in the match. With 12 fours and 3 sixes Sachin scored 134 runs. India won the match by six wickets and lifted the cup. Sachin was the Man of the match and man of the series. Opal Astra car was presented to Sachin for his wonderful performance. Awards for more number of sixes and fastest half century are also given to Sachin Tendulkar.

4. 82 Runs against New Zealand in 1994

India against New Zealand in Christ Churchill, New Zealand on march 1994, march 27. Navjot Singh Sidhu, the opener of Indian team was having injury. Everyone batsman feared the seeming wicket pitch and Sachin came forward and showed excellent batting skills. Everyone was having the doubt that Sachin will be able to shine as a opener in this tough pitch. It was the 70th One Day International match of Sachin Tendulkar. First time batting as an opener. New Zealand played the first innings and the score was not up to the mark. They only made 146 runs. It was an easy victory for India. Sachin easily scored 82 runs from 49 balls. Sachin utilized the short boundary ground of Auckland.

5. 98 Runs against Pakistan in 2003

India against Pakistan at the centurion ground in 2003. This was one of the great match of 2003 World cup. Indian batsman feared the bowling the of the fastest Akthar of Pakistan. Pakistan started the first innings and reached a big score of 273 runs. Saed Anwar was the shining star in the Pakistan innings who took 101 runs. India started the second innings. Sachin and Sehwag was the batsman in the crease. The first over was bowled by Wasim Akram and both the batsman scored two fours in that over and also one single. Next over was bowled by the fastest akthar and Sachin faced the bowl and started with a single, then two runs, no ball and in the fourth ball Sachin has surprised everyone by hitting a marvelous six and after that two boundaries. 8 runs were made in that over. Sachin then played an excellent innings and took 98 runs. It was a good victory for India.

      The 5 th one mentioned in this hub is one of the best innings that I have seen from Sachin. Even though he scored only 98 and missed out on the century, the innings turned the tide against the Pakistan team.
