1) Youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion In History
If you are not familiar with the career of Nakamura in Japan you should totally check out his past matches in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). The most important championship in NJPW is known as the IWGP (International Wrestling Grand Prix) Heavyweight Championship which is the equivalent of WWE's title, the WWE Championship or the WWE Universal Championship. Shinsuke Nakamura has won this prestiguous championship 3 times with a combined length of 390 days which puts him in the overall top ten rankings for the championship with WWE superstar Brock Lesnar and NJPW founder and Japanese Legend Antonio Inoki. However, one of his greatest accomplishments with the championship is when Nakamura became the youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion of all time at the age of 23 in 2003 which puts him 1 year younger than when WWE superstar Randy Orton won his World Heavyweight Championship at the age of 24 in 2004.

However, Nakamura has also gotten success in another sport known as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Like many Japanese wrestlers, Nakamura had a MMA Career. While in the early stages of his professional wrestling career, Nakamura entered the MMA scene and fought in his first match in which he lost against Daniel Gracie. However, the loss would soon be erased as Nakamura would go on to win 4 bouts( 3 by submission and 1 by no-contest) against opponents such as Jan Nortje, Shane Eitner and Alexey Ignashov. He even competed in MMA matches while he was IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Though his MMA career seemed to be destined for glory Nakamura he ended his career presumably to focus on his professional wreslting career. 4) Match Of The Year Candidate in 2016

In 2016, two of the greatest wrestlers in the currently , AJ Styles then in NJPW as the leader of The Bullet Club and Shinsuke Nakamura wrestled in a classic match for the prestigious IWGP Intercontinental Championship. In a 50,000 + seat arena in the Tokyo Dome in Japan, the two wrestled and their styles clashed together as well as a hot knife going through butter.
