6 Michael Jordan Accomplishments, that distinguishes him from the other NBA Superstars of All Time

Updated on October 9, 2015

Now we could debate all day long, about the other NBA superstar's individual statistics, and who accomplished the most, individually , and who is the greatest, but one NBA superstar stands above the rest, and his name is Michael Jordan.

He has so many accomplishments, but we are going to focus on, 6 of Michael Jordan's accomplishments. 1 being his two gold medals in 1984 and 1992. 2. His 10 scoring titles which includes 7 in a row from 1987- 1993,and 3 more from 1996 - 1998. 3. being named defensive player of the year making him a two way player. 4. being his two 3 peats, first one from 1991- 1993, and the second from 1996-1998. 5. being a part of a team with the best record of 72-10 in the 1995-1996 season, also in Chicago Bulls history and also in NBA history. 6 being his perfect 6-0 winning record in the Finals.

Two Gold Medals 1984 and 1992

The fact that Michael Jordan's has two gold medals, is not what distinguishes him from other nba superstars, because other nba superstars like, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Chris Paul, all have two gold medals, but what distinguishes Michael Jordan, is that he is on a short list of 3 who have won the gold medal as a amateur and a pro.The other two are Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullen In 1984 and 1992 the same years as Michael Jordan.

10 Scoring Titles

Another One Of Michael Jordan's accomplishments is, his 10 scoring titles, which includes 7 in a row. What's amazing , is that he tied Wilt Chamberlain's record for 7 consecutive years of winning the scoring title, and averaging over 30 points a game. In 1986-1987 37.1 1987-1988 35.0 1988-1989 32.5 1989- 1990 33.6 1990-1991 31.50 1991-1992 30.1 1992-1993 32.6. Then he retires briefly, to play baseball, and then comes back and averages 30.4 in 1995-1996 and in 1996-1997 29.6 and in 1997-1998 28.7 playing in all 82 games for those 3 seasons, and winning 3 nba championships, and still being the leading scorer.

Defensive Player of the Year

Now we know Michael Jordan was a great scorer, but he was also 1 of 6 guards, to win the defensive player of the year award since it was first givin out in the 1982- 1983 nba season. Although nba superstars like Hakeem Olajuwan, Dikembe Mutombo, and Dwight Howard , have won multiple defensive player of year awards, but they were not the scorer Michael Jordan was, and they were all centers, which wins the award most of the time.

2 3 Peats

Another one of Michael Jordan's accomplishments , is he has won 3 nba championships in a row , twice, and that what distinguishes him from other nba superstars, like Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and Tin Duncan. Magic won 5 titles, and he has won 2 in a row in 1987-1988, but he never won 3 in a row. Kobe Bryant won 5 titles as well, and he did win 3 in a row, from 2000-2002 , but he only accomplished it once. Tim Duncan also won 5 titles, but he has not won 2 in a row, let alone 3 in a row.

72-10 Record

Another of Michael Jordan's accomplishments is, he is a part of a chicago bulls team with the best record in chicago bulls and nba history. Whats amazing is not only their 39-2 home record, but their 38-8 road record, which is the best road record in nba history, and get this, they were undefeated in the the month of january. A 72-10 record, which most likely never be broken.

6-0 in the NBA Finals

Another one of Michael Jordan's accomplishments is, that he is 6-0, when making it to the nba finals, and what distinguishes him from other nba superstars, like Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird, is that Magic went to more finals, I believe 9, but he won only 5 times, so he was not perfect . Bird went to multiple finals and he was not perfect either. Michael Jordan also won the finals mvp every time he made it to the finals, Magic and Bird didnt.

What do you think is Michael Jordan's Greatest Accomplishment?
