A simple pathway to become a football coach

Updated on October 24, 2012

Football my passion

Football is not only the most popular sport but also an important part of our lives . Even though we believe God is the ultimate creator of the life but in this life we worship our football idols even more than the Almighty himself and believe me God doesn't mind that . Such is the passion of football that the best part of our week is planned all around this beautiful game .

So when Football is that important in our lives , why not pursue it as a career and move even closer to the madness .

.

My Passion My Career

"Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that."

There comes a time in everybody's life when we get the ultimate power to create our own life . The decisions we make at that time shape up our whole life . Even though that's the most exciting and happening part of the life but due to the uncertainty and the confusion we often make wrong decisions and end up regretting that throughout the whole life . The best option is to go for what you love doing the most and if you have a passion like football why not live it full time .

Even though a gentleman is employed as the manager of the team but we all are managers of our favorite football teams . Even God doesn't get as many prays as the amount of comments and suggestions that a football team manager gets and some of them are really good . Some of us have really good insight of the game .

So what does it take to move from The Manager outside the ground to The Gaffer inside ?? The answer is simple , every great manager started from somewhere and it takes time and experience to learn the deal , you ll have to start from the scratch so if you really think you want to be known as a football manager , the pathway is simple .

Pathway to coaching

Its good if you have some playing experience but if you don't there's nothing to worry about . "Good player doesn't necessarily become good managers ."

1 : You can either choose sports management course in your graduation and then apply for a football coaching license course or you can directly apply for the license course . To apply for coaching license , all you need is knowledge of the game and you must be at least 18 years old .

2: The license courses differ according to the country you are applying in .

for example if you are applying in England and you don't have any playing experience then you have to apply for level1 course first which is provided by all local county FA's throughout the country .

Coahing Pathway

3: In united states The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) offers two levels of coaching licenses offered by the organization. Information regarding course offerings can be found at: http://www.nscaa.com
The first level Non-Residential Program has two diplomas - State diploma and Regional diploma. The breakdown:
· State Diploma - For newly involved coaches, especially with kids in the 6 - 12 age group. Cost: $350 for up to 20 people total (cost divided among number of participants)
· Regional Diploma - A 13-hour course designed for youth and school coaches working with
players ages12 - 19. Gives deeper understanding of how technical and tactical concepts can be Cost; $675 for up to 20 coaches (cost divided amongst number of coaches)

Similarly Asian FA's have different pathway but all those have similar purpose of standardizing the football coaching process . No matter where you start from if you work hard and stick to your plan , you ll succeed .

"If you do not believe you can do it , then you have no chance at all."

So best of luck with your careers and i hope this piece helped you.
