A nice summer day

Are people happier in the summer?

When people think of the summer months they think of the limitless number of things that they can do. For example, go on vacation, go to the beach, hang out friends and family and have lots of laughs. At least that is what I think of. The question is Are people happier in the summer? Well, the kids are for sure because that means two months off of school, and what kid wouldn’t like that? The sun is shining more in the summer which makes people happy because the sun will brighten anyone’s day. People are happier in the summer because of the all the nice bright colored flowers, and sounds of birds chirping, there is also a sense of being alive because in the summer you can do more. For example have, bonfires, barbecues, outdoor parties, and who can forget fireworks. Swimming if you have a pool is a big one too. In the summer do you find that you are more carefree? Do you find that you get work done faster or slower? Really think about this because you probably haven’t thought of that during the summer months when you are working.

Depending on where you live you may have the opportunity to work outside and sometimes that’s all you need. Is Summer the most relaxing of the four seasons? People are happier in the summer because, you are not cooped up indoors unless it rains of course, which has happened almost every single day this week. Today is the second prettiest day because it hasn’t rained yet.

As I write this I am sitting out on my deck, listening to the sounds of the outdoors watching my dog eye the birds like that are toys. If I could actually get a good picture I would but she is too fast for me to do that. Watching her puts a smile on my face, I love summer because you can do more and the clothes you wear aren’t half bad. Who doesn’t like swim suits, shorts, tank tops, capris, sundresses, and sandals? Or yet being barefoot? With all the rain, we have been having recently when we get a nice day we soak it up and soak it up for as long as we can.

People are happier in the summer because they can take adventures outdoors and see new things rather than staying cooped up inside. Everyone likes an adventure now and then don’t they? Summer shouts happiness, fun, and relaxation. There a lot more fun things to do in the summer than any other time of the year don’t you agree? You can hang out more with family and friends because in the summer the outdoors are calling your name when it’s warm that is. People are happier in the summer because that is usually the time you spend most with family you go on mini vacations or big ones depending on your schedules and relax. Most of the time in the summer you aren’t worried about the weather, so you can plan more outdoor things to do. Although it has rained a lot recently for the most part summer is hot and sunny.

Being outside in the summer gives people, a chance to exercise more like walk, run, swim, bike, and play on jungle gyms things like that. The more active people are most of the time, the happier they are because they are doing different things outdoors which can open people’s eyes to new experiences which can make people happy.

Happiness is more shown in the summer or is it?

Most people in the summer I find have a more carefree attitude because the sun makes people happy. That is why I think people are happier in the summer. The summer is also a lot more of the party season which makes people limitlessly happy because they can stay out longer since there is a limitless amount of heat and light for the most part. People are happier in a limitless amount in the summer because there is just so much more to do in the warm weather then there is to do in the cold weather, most people like to spend their days outside with friends rather than in the house which is why they are happier in the summer.

People have this limitless summer glow of a tan and a huge smile on their faces. The smell of the sun and the flowers is another thing that makes people happier in the summer or at least that is what makes me happier anyway. The heat and the music that is played outside during the summer months makes people happy because they get to spend limitless amounts of time outside instead of in a building looking at the same walls they always look at during the winter months.

There are limitless things that people can do in the summer like go fishing and swimming, things like hiking and biking can also be done in the summer. Which can make people happy because they are outside as well as getting exercise. Most people are happier in the summer because they are getting limitless amounts of vitamin D and they don't have to take pills in order to get it.

People are happier in the summer because they feel limitlessly free to go anywhere and do anything. They are not confined to one building because being outside is so warm that they can go out without getting sick or getting a chill. You don't even need to wear sweaters at night usually which makes people happy so that they don't have to carry so much with them when they go out.

People are happier in the summer because there is always so many limitless things to do. People are never bored in the summer because of all the limitlessness that it offers. Summer is a time to feel limitless and free, it is a time to explore limitless things and learn. Which in the long run always make people happy when they explore and learn new things don't you think?

Good topic Louise. For me there is no question; I am many times happier in the summer for many reasons. More sunlight and warmth mean I can do the outdoor things that I like, mostly involving bicycling, beaching, barbecuing, and walking. In the winter, I tend towards hibernation, sleeping late and for 8 to 11 hours; yet in summer I rise much earlier and require only 5 to 6 hours of sleep.

Summer is my least favorite season. It's too hot, there are too many bugs, I get sunburned too quickly and I have crazy awful allergies. I spend most of my summer indoors, hiding from the sun and trying not to sweat to death.

I MUCH prefer the colder month, like fall and winter. I seem to come alive then.
