Arsenal: Bound for 38 0-0 Draws?

Updated on November 6, 2012

Wagner Knew?

Arsenal = Doomed

With the sale of RVP and Alex Song, Arsenal has no real source of goals other than Oliver Giroud, or stardom. Take a look....

Arsenal's Roster

Player and Goals Last Season

  • Theo Walcott, 4
  • Thomas Vermaelen, 6
  • Bacary Sagna, 1
  • Laurent Koscielny, 3
  • Tomas Rosicky, 2
  • Mikel Arteta, 6
  • Andre Santos, 3
  • Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 4
  • Aaron Ramsey, 3
  • Gervinho, 4
  • Kieran Gibbs, 2
  • Marouane Chamakh, 1
  • Nicklas Bendtner, 8 (Sunderland)
  • Olivier Giroud, 25 (Montpellier)
  • Santi Cazorla, 9 (Málaga)
  • Carl Jenkinson, 0
  • Per Mertesacker, 0
  • Lukas Podolski, 18 (1. FC Köln)

In Depth

Now that is 99 goals, however the keepers in France and Spain aren't as "skilled" as the one in England (Due to the fact that average keeper in Spain and France are worse than the British, as teams like Wigan, and Southampton, are par with Sochaux, AC Ajaccio and Real Betis) so half Giroud's goals (now 13 rounded) and Cazorla (now 5 rounded) now Arsenal have 83 goals. Arsenal let in 49 goals last year, putting them at a GD of 34. Which would have been good for 3rd or 4th last year. This will change as Chelsea has added strikers while helping out their defense and Newcastle looks to be just as strong.

Don't look for Arsenal to be totally out of it, but a top 3 finish would be crazy, and they should be fighting with Newcastle for the 4th spot along with possibly Tottenham, but with the transfer of Modric to Real Madrid that is unlikely.

OX is good, wish he went to Chelsea. A lot is riding on Walcott though, but knowing Wagner he'll probably transfer him if he scores more than 5 goals.

I'm not sure the Arsenal defence is strong enough to keep that many clean sheets more importantly :D

I cant believe Walcott only got 4 goals last season, i guess he was more providor but seriously he has more potential than that!

I would like to see more from the OX this season!
