Basic Carp Fishing Pointers

Frustrating as it can seem at times Carp Fishing is just simply marvelous. Carp are really annoying at sucking in and blowing out suspicious baits so you want to do good research to make sure your using the best carp bait for your area. And yes some baits work better in one area than they do in other areas. You want a bait that the carp is going to grab and hold onto so you can set the hook and before you know it you'll have a carp hooked on the line and you just may be in for the fight of your life.

In some areas of the country people are now using canned biscuits for carp bait with good to great success. Some people even add strawberry or grape jello powdered mix to the biscuits and work it up into the canned biscuits. The dry jello powder leaches off into the water and the carp come in after the bait.

You want to use 50 pound test or better for carp in order that you don't suffer line breaks. I like to use a bobber when I'm fishing for carp. I just simply love the way the carp jerk the bobber under water. A lot of people have their own secret carp bait and if you fish carp lakes often you will soon catch on as to what bait works best for your area.

And you will want to start expermenting with carp baits on your fishing trip to see what bait works best for you. Before you know it you'll be making your own carp bait and catching huge carp.

Catching Big Carp

Fishing Trip For Carp

In some parts of the southern USA carp fishing is a big sport as people fish for the carp almost every weekend throughout the spring and summer and they are doing what has come to be known as money fishing. They are trying to catch the biggest carp of the night or sometimes even the biggest carp of the hour to win cash prizes. And sometimes the cash prizes at some carp ponds can be in the high four figures so yes people spend a lot of time, money and energy trying to win those big cash prizes.

If your going to fish for carp your going to need a heavy duty fishing rod and reel with at least 50 pound test on the reel. You don't want your fish to just snap your line and swim off. Your also going to need a large net , rod stands and the best carp bait you can come up with for your carp fishing trip.

Catching carp is the closest thing a lot of people are ever going to come to deep sea fishing. When you catch a carp and hear the reel scream as the carp makes his run its one of the most exciting things you will ever experience on a fishing trip. And oh the feeling when you pick up that rod and set the hook on a huge carp.

Have you been carp fishing. How big a carp have you ever caught. Why not post a comment below.
