NEW! Bear Grylls Gerber Knife See Below!

Bear Grylls is one of the most extreme mainstream outdoor survivalists and he does not take second best when it comes to his gear. If you are looking for Bear Grylls clothing and Bear Grylls Gear, look no further!

I have been searching the internet for some time to find The Bear Grylls Pants with the black re-enforced knees, brush guards and re-enforced seat. I recently purchased a pair and I can't say enough about them. I love them! They have taken some serious abuse, from 10 days of climbing the whites, to rock climbing, Kayaking and every day camping, Bear Grylls Pants handle abuse and show no signs of wear. I had a really hard time finding these so I thought I would make it easier for everyone else. I have also included some of the other Bear Grylls gear such as Bear Gryll's knife

Finally back in stock! Get them while they last

So..What Pants Does Bear Grylls Wear?

Bear Grylls pants are some of the toughest outdoor clothing that I have ever worn. They have re-enforced knees, ankles and seat. They also boast sun protection and the perfect amount of pockets.

If I could design a pair of trousers for traveling, hiking, climbing, and kayaking then these would be the result. They are great. Bear Grylls pants are really comfy and made of a light weight material yet they are super rugged and hold up to just about any abuse you can throw at them. The seat and knees are made of a reinforced stretch material that adds even more comfort to these pants. They are by far my favorite pair of outdoor pants

I recently took these kayaking and dunked my kayak ( I know.. I know amateur move) but much to my surprise they did not weigh me down at all in the water, they were really comfy to swim in. Once I got back in my yak they dried in about 15 minutes. They were comfy when they were wet and did not chaff me anywhere.

How is the Fit

The fit of the Bear Grylls Pants is a little on the small side. I would say about a size small. I have a 30in waist, got a 32in waist as a gift and they fit me perfectly.

Bear Combats - More Bear Grylls Pants

Bear Combats

These pants are very similar to the above combat pants but do not have the re-enforced knees, and seat. They are coated with a dry finish so that they shrug off water and when they do get wet they dry in minutes. These are a little baggier than the above survivor pants but still have a great range of motion.

Bear combat pants have plenty of storage without pocket overkill and are great for climbing, hiking, travel and camping. They are also stylish to where when you are back in civilization!

The are an over all great piece of Bear Grylls Clothing.

Bear Adventure Long-Sleeved Shirt

"I have a range of Bear Grylls clothing but this is far my favorite out of the lot. Super lightweight, Super tough material and if you do get it wet it dries so quickly. I live in mine ! !?"

Ben Lumb (Bradford UK) - 23/05/09

Ben said it all, lightweight yet extremely durable. This shirt will keep you cool in the hottest of days and has built in sun protection to keep your skin from getting drenched in the harmful rays of the sun.

The Bear Adventure Long-Sleeved Shirt also has plenty of pockets so that you can keep all of your gear close and accessible. Another great staple in the Bear Grylls Clothing line.

Bear Grylls Trek Long Sleeved shirt

The Bear Grylls Trek Long Sleeve shirt is extremely light weight and breathable. This is a great shirt for spring, fall and even in the dead of summer. This is my main go-to camping shirt and even in the summer months in South Carolina this shirt keeps me comfortable and protected from the sun.The shirt is made of a quick drying, polyamide ripstop material with stretch panels on the shoulders and elbows. Oh yeah it also has built in sun protection. The three pockets come in handy as well. Two vented chest pockets and and zip sleeve pocket. The sleeves also have the ability to be rolled up and buttoned below the shoulder. over all this shirt is fantastic, it will take a beating and still come back looking for more. Great for any outdoor enthusiast.

Bear Grylls Micro Fleece Half zip

Yet another great piece of gear in the Bear Grylls Clothing line. This micro fleece jacket is perfect as a stand alone fleece in fall and spring. Add this as a layer under a waterproof jacket in the winter and you are set to go. This is a great layer for snowboarding and for winter trekking. Available in 4 colors, red, black, dark khaki and blue.

Expedition Short-Sleeved T-Shirt

High-Performance Tee

Another great item to add to the Bear Grylls Clothing Line. The Expedition Short-Sleeved T-shirt. After purchasing the Bear Grylls Pants and the reversible fleece, I will pretty much pay anything for this gear. It is that awesome. I have not purchased this shirt yet however it is the next one on my list. This shirt has a sun protection and a bug repellent that is built into the shirt. Believe it! The Bear Grylls Pants have the same features and I have used them first hand. It makes an obvious difference. When every one else is getting eaten you wont notice a thing. The bug repellent blows my mind. It is made from a textile impregnation treatment to give this shirt permanent Insect repellency. You will find that this shirt is made to be a snug fit in order to keep you cool and keep moisture away from your body.Buy Bear Grylls Expedition T-Shirt Here

Bear Grylls Reversible Tracker Jacket

This Jacket is Awesome, what can I say. I am so happy with this purchase, it really is two totally different jackets in one. The gray side has the pockets laterally just below the chest and the fleece reverse, has the pockets right at the sides. Both ways you wear the Bear Grylls reversible tracker jacket are ultra comfy and dying to get out in the elements. A must have for any outdoor gear head!

Fleece inside Water Resistant outside what more can you want! This rugged jacket, meant for survival will get the job done out on the range yet is stylish enough to wear with jeans. The ultra soft fleece inside makes this jacket extremely comfortable and versatile. Flip it inside out and you have a whole new look. Check out these reviews by purchasers - Straight from the Bear Grylls Clothing Site

Ian Houghton (Manchester, England) - 10/10/09

A great piece of kit, so good I bought a second. It's so versatile can be worn next to the skin (fleece side) in warmer conditions. I wear mine to walk the dog early in the morning, just get up pull it on and off we go, super soft fleece very cosy. In colder conditions a base layer underneath is sufficent and when it starts raining I just throw a very lightweight waterproof smock over the top. Not sure why it's reversible though as can't imagine wearing it fleece side out as it's so soft and cosy - no brainer.

Bear Grylls Gerber Knife

Bear Grylls Ultimate Survivor Knife

The Bear Grylls Gerber Knife is a full tang fixed blade with a 4 inch serrated blade and a whole lot of extras. The knife handle is made from an orange and black non slip rubber. it has 3 lanyard holes so that it can be fixed to a spear and a micro survival whistle attached to the lanyard strap on the back of the handle. The butt of the knife doubles as a pummel with a steel textured surface similar to the texture of a carpenters hammer. I like this feature a lot better than the Gerber prodigy with the pointed butt. It is more functional for the everyday, non-knife-fighting type.

The sheath is also as impressive. It is a kydex blade holder that also has a spot for the provided fire stick or what I refer to as a metal match. The back of the sheath has a blade sharpener and finally it also has a mini survival manual that tucks into the back of the sheath as well.

Overall this is a pretty mean looking knife. I think that they could have chosen better colors, I am not a big fan of the orange, but I can see where the orange is pretty functional.

Now Also Available in a fine edge without serrations!! 4 star reviews on Amazon Check it out here : Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife, Fine Edge

For the Serrated Version click the button below!!

Bear Grylls Compact Fixed Blade

More Bear Grylls Gear coming at you! I recently had the pleasure of handling the Bear Grylls Compact fixed blade at a knife show, and let me tell you, it is a little monster. I was pretty surprised at the size as it is much smaller than the Ultimate survivor knife but it definitely has its purpose. The knife is nimble in your hands and extremely comfortable to handle with a rubberized grip and nice handle shape. The thing that I love about this knife is the exposed tang, you see this style with many high quality knives and it is a great added feature for hammering prying etc.

Some of the other features that I like are the added finger choil on the blade for that fine detailed work and also the jimping on the back of the blade for added grip. The sheath is basic plastic with a vertical belt clip.

Blade Length: 3.4"

Overall Length: 7.8"

Weight: 3.77 oz

Weight in Sheath: 4.97 oz.

Steel Type: 7Cr17Mov

All in all this looks and feels like a pretty good knife, and for 29 bucks on Amazon you can't go wrong!

Only $29.00 bucks!!

Bear Grylls Ultimate Multi -Tool

The newly released Bear Grylls Multi tool has the tough durability and dependability that you would expect from both Gerber and Bear himself. The Multi tool features rugged construction, rubberized grip and tools that lock into place.

Here are some of the tools within the kit

1.Spring loaded Pliers

2.Robust scissors

4.Bottle opener

5.Multiple screwdrivers

7.Fully serrated blade

8.Nylon sheath, lightweight, military-grade, mildew resistant and land to air rescue instructions.

At $43.76 on Amazon the Bear Grylls Multi tool is a steal..

Bear Grylls Parang

Bear Grylls Machete

The New Bear Grylls Parang Machete is inspired by a gift that Bear received from tribesman on one of his many adventures. The tribesman took a liking to Bear and gave him a parang style machete which the Gerber Bear Grylls Parang is modeled after. Gerber took the exact blade angle and size, added a beefier steel and replace the wooden handle with an easier to grip rubberized handle.

Bear Grylls Parang Specs

1.Full Tang Construction

2.High Carbon Steel Blade

3.Lanyard Hole With Lanyard

4.Angled Blade Ideal for Clearing Brush and Heavy Chopping

The one thing that sets this machete apart from the rest of them is the angle on the blade. The angle allows you to exert maximum chopping force and keep your knuckles angled away from the trees and brush that you are cutting. This is a prime piece of steel.

Only $55.00 on Amazon..

Bear Grylls Survival Series Ultimate Kit

Awesome Kit! I have been looking for one of these kits for my car and as a staple in my day pack. The Bear Grylls Ultimate Kit includes all the essentials that you would need in a survival situation in a neatly organized and compact package. The 15 piece kit includes a Gerber mini multi tool which I actually use ALL the time, the thing is the perfect size and really comes in handy. Some of the other items that are included are a a flint and steel, waterproof matches, fishing line, hooks, hand saw, signalling mirror, flashlight and a survival blanket. This is a must have for the trunk of your car and the pocket of your favorite day pack or bug out bag.

Bear Grylls Canteen and Cup

The Rothco plastic canteen and cup has been the standard issue for campers and survivalist for a years however this is many times referred to as Bear Grylls canteen. You can see Bear rocking this canteen and cup in just about every episode of Man vs. Wild. The plastic canteen holds a qt of liquid and the cup is great to heat your oatmeal in over the fire in the morning!

At 18 bucks you can't go wrong.

Bear Grylls Shoes

Bear Grylls shoes that he uses in Man Vs. Wild are the Merrell Chameleon Hex. These shoes are best fitted for hikers that like to move fast and travel light. They have a deep traction that make them great on slick surfaces. The Merrell Chameleon Hex will also keep your feet dry unless totally submerged in water. More information on Bear Grylls Shoes

Bear Grylls Sunglasses

In the picture you can see Bear sporting some pretty badass shades. They are the Oakley Straight jackets and should be a part of anyone's outdoor gear pack. With available polarized lenses they take out even the nastiest glares. The Oakley Straight Jackets are built to last that is why they are the choice that Bear Grylls makes when choosing sunglasses.

Titanium Pro Divers Knife

What Knife Does Bear Grylls Use in Costa Rica and The Pacific Islands?

Bear uses the Titanium Pro Divers Knife in the pacific islanders episode. This is a great knife for kayaking, diving, boating or a plain old soaking wet environment. I live on the coast and I find that any time I am camping on a beach, river bed or in the pine barrens, I cannot use a folding knife. The sand and fine dirt always get in the hinge. No matter how careful I am.

Bear Grylls Knife

Gerber Gator Serrated Clip Point

So..What knife does Bear Grylls use?

The Answer?

Bear uses quite a few different knives in Man vs Wild, from buck to Gerber to Titanium pro to his own custom knife line. Luckily you can find most of them on amazon.

The one pictured here is perhaps the most popular: The Gerber Gator Serrated folding blade. this knife is used in the Iceland glaciers episode,Northern Kenya, and Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano to name a few. It is tough ,rugged and has a great grip for even the most wet and slippery of days.

For anybody looking for Bear Grylls sunglasses, he only wears SOS Eyewear sunglasses. I spoke to the company directly after seeing the logo on the glasses while watching Man vs Wild. The company rep said he also has a new line of his glasses coming out. You can buy the glasses directly at,

(he wore these for those deodorant commercials)

And best of all, they are affordable too!
