Pre Fights To Remember

1. Mike Tyson vs. Lennox Lewis (2002): During a New York press conference for their fight Mike Tyson swung a hook at Lennox Lewis that missed but got hit in the head by a Lewis right hand in return. During the scuffle Tyson bit Lewis on the leg and went on a nasty verbal tirade directed at a member of the media. Lewis knocked out Iron Mike in the 8th round of their bout. As far as the rant that Tyson went on it was more than R Rated it was unrated to say the least.

2. Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier 2 (1973): Ali and Frazier sat down on ABC to discuss their upcoming rematch. Ali called Frazier ignorant among other things and Smokin Joe got mad. The two Heavyweights wrestled on the floor before being separated by security personnel. The Greatest schooled Smokin Joe and won a 12 round decision. Ali always did a great job of getting under his opponents skin especially Joe Frazier. Frazier was so mad at Ali and he even took his hard feelings he had against Ali to the grave with him.

3. Riddick Bowe vs. Larry Donald (1994): Bowe and Donald engaged in a staredown in which both men shared a few choice words before Big Daddy Bowe reacted. Riddick threw a big left hook followed by a cracking right hand that landed flush on Donald and shook him up. The two were broke up before any more punches could be thrown. Riddick won a dominant decision over Larry Donald with Donald winning two rounds at best.

4. Floyd Mayweather vs. Oscar De La Hoya (2007): Mayweather exploded on De La Hoya at the first two press conferences by insulting his heritage, manhood and sexuality among other things. At one point Mayweather grabbed De La Hoya by the arm but Oscar knocked his arm free and security separated the two as a melee broke out. Money Mayweather won a close decision over the Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar Did well early but faded late as Mayweather picked up his punch output.

5. Fernando Vargas vs. Ricardo Mayorga: Ferocious Fernando had to be separated by plastic security glass against El Matador. ,Mayorga already pushed and insulted Vargas until being broke up with guards. Ricardo Mayorga won a close decision over Vargas and Vargas retired afterward. Mayorga yelled cuss words and insults constantly and Vargas fumed.

6. Vitali Klitscho vs. Derrik Chisora: At the staredown for the match Chisora slapped Klitscho with an open hand right in the face. Security broke the boxers apart and Vitali won a 12 round shut out decision over Del boy. Also, Chisora spit water in Vitali's brothers face before the opening bell for their bout. Chisora seems to be an unbalanced guy to say the least.

7. James Toney vs. John Ruiz: Toney is one of the best trash talkers in the business and his smack talk got on the nerves of Ruiz. When the shouting started Toney pushed Ruiz and had to be restrained. Toney won a 12 round decision in the fight but he gained a mental edge during the build up at the press conferences. Toney was a king of smack talk and he usually backed it up.

8. Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Roberto Duran 1: Duran actually gave the finger to Leonard's wife during the fight build up. Duran insulted Leonard's manhood which made Leonard brawl instead of box. Hands of Stone Duran won a 15 round decision. These two guys had genuine hate for each other and it showed in the way the two gladiators tore into each other.

9. Lamon Brewster vs. Wvladamir Klitscho: Brewster's father figure and trainer died and it ignited him and he showed it at the final press conference. Brewster broke down in tears and screamed that he would be champion. Brewster won by 5th round knockout.

10. Hasim Rahman vs. Lennox Lewis 2: Lewis and Rahman appeared on ESPN together and insulted each other nose to nose. Both combatants pushed until Rahman actually slammed Lewis on a table and broke it. Security rushed in and broke up the meLee while both boxers yelled at each other.

Zab Judah Rips Oscar De La Hoya

During the press conference for Zab Judah vs. Danny Garcia, Zab snapped on De La Hoya for about 8 minutes. Mainly, Judah said he was being disrespected by Golden Boy Promotions. De La Hoya looked dumbfounded but he took a mental beat down for sure and it was on camera.

Zab Judah has had calm press conferences and wild ones. The one for Danny Garcia was the ladder. The main protagonist in this one was Danny Garcia's father and trainer Angel Garcia.
