Cavs Were Suppose to Lose to the Celtics Tonight

I am still livid about Kyrie shaving that mustache. Even posted a popular joke about him favoring a Cuban Drug lord for shaving his face this way.

Let's get the NBA conspiracy theories out of the way first before the reality is explained.

Conspiracy 1

Celtics won in this fashion due to the Celtic vs Cavalier rivalry being conceived in the NBA. The first game between the two ended in close fashion with James being the victor and Cavalier players embracing Kyrie as if he was still apart of the team. This embracing should've ended all speculations that the super team in Cleveland forced Kyrie out. This is far from the truth as the season progressed and media people continued to harass both Kyrie and James about their shaky relationship. Tonight's game it would only makes sense for Celtics to get a win too when Isaish returns because Kyrie lost when he returned to the Cleveland. The media will eat this up for breakfast. This form of torment to the two former teammates began to build a deeper eastern conference rivalry. This leads to number 2.

Conspiracy 2

The two teams will be a money grabber for the league. The Kyrie Irving trade for Isaish Thomas was the least expected from any of us. The hard work Isaish Thomas put in to make the Celtics a contending team against other dominant squads in the East is underrated. Last year began to look like another year where the Cavs would be up top but the 5'9 point guard in green lead the Celtics to be number 1. After giving his all to the franchise which resulted in injury as well as losing his sister all in a few months a few months later he was traded to the team that beat him for Kyrie Irving. Disrespectful I agree, yet this generates a lot of new attention to the teams. That eastern conference finals game is interesting to the people who loves basketball. Not so much your casual, "There's nothing else on TV I might as well watch basketball" fans. Celtics brought along Gordon Hayward to add Kyrie Irving and Al Harford and the future was starting to look bright after an confusing yet arguably even snake move to what Kevin Durant did to the Thunder a year before. Because of this move and Kyrie's fustration (media built) towards the Cavs when the Celtics play the Cavs there are so much emotions generated from fans on both sides. Cleveland Cav fans no longer feel that they can just run over any team in the East. They want to see Kyrie lose and realize he can't do it without James and his super friends. Celtics know have two elite guards in there hands and felt there back court can face any back court in the East. Get well soon Hayward. Ticket sells will be at an all time high.

The Science of pro basketball can explain why those conspiracies are false

Even though the scoreboard looked horrendous, how the Cavaliers actually hooped tonight wasn't as bad as it could've been. The popularity in people hating LeBron James removes the capability to think sometimes. Let's explain the game for a minute.

Back to Back:

Back to back games in the NBA is the most fun for us fans. Being able to see our favorite team compete twice in a row. To the players, not so much. Especially if it's two good teams. Imagine with me here for a second. Being a player on the court (star player, bench warmer, role player whoever you visualize yourself to be) playing the first game of 2 and studying there game plan. Team runs a fast paste game dealing with the front court being the leaders of the charge. So most of the game will be spent running non stop to prevent a team that's use to playing this style from scoring. Team played hard enough to stop the ball and win the game. To play again not even 24 hours later against another team, that plays another style of offense and defense that forces your team to be more quick when finding the right shot to put up to score. 9x out of 10 your team didn't have practice to work on the game plan due to the fact that the team just played the night before. Resting is the most important part in double games. Therefore film study has been the leading aspect of the new opponent and that's a far different animal then playing. Let alone that team will be at home in a highly anticipated game.

Let me add another key factor in tonight's loss for the Cav's that doesn't involve conspiracies.

Cleveland has gone through so many lineup changes due to point guard issues. Yes they've managed to still have a decent record but also lost 7 straight that I'm overly confident that they wouldn't had if there lineup was consistent. It's almost like they are out playing and trying something new 24/7. All of there point guards play differently. Lineup adjustment for there point guard troubles has to be a chore for there team. There's not a scheme to get use too. Several coaches may would have discovered a perfect game plan by now but I feel for Tyrone Lue being in these new shoes still. Isiash Thomas played well after being out for months in yesterdays game. Took many of shots which then sends a message to there team that they have a another option to score and find spaces. The issue here is Isaish wasn't allowed to play tonight. Therefore the confusion on the team would be at a all time high due to shots Isaish took will not be the same shots the replacing guard will take.

Celtics play a spaced game. Meaning they look for the best shot the defense gives and keep the floor spaced for Kyrie to dance. They also move around screens a lot which makes them one of the most dangerous because Kyrie can shoot and if the screen is set by Harford, Celtics center, HE CAN ALSO SHOOT. Keeping the defense guessing.

Cavaliers looked tired tonight. And my whole purpose of this article is to let fans know you can't blame them. They played but the fatigue and randomness of there team got the best of them against a well coached Celtics who stuck to there game plan. Took perfect advantage of the opportunity given to them in tonight's game.

It was a must that I ask you all this question

Who will win the Eastern Conference Finals between the two franchises?

"They didn't want me there," Irving told MacMullan. Kyrie dislike for last year season with the Cavs was plagued with trade rumors. Kyrie to the Suns made Kyrie believe LeBron and Bledsoe friendship over Kyrie and LeBron's chemistry.

Because of Kyrie recent comments that the Cavs did not want him in a Cleveland jersey anymore, LeBron responded with, “That makes absolutely no sense," And from the outside looking in I agree.
