Cristiano Ronaldo Videos - Sexy Soccer

Updated on December 28, 2013

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been described as the best  footballer in the world. The truth of this is of course open to debate as there are many superb young players around, but it is certainly true to say that Ronaldo is among the top young players in the world today.

He is tall, athletically built, has great speed off the mark, and has phenomenal close ball control. Add to that  his great heading ability, a growing tactical awareness of his part in a team game and also his physical bravery in a tough and bruising league and you have the makings of a very special soccer player.

Cristiano Early Years

He was born on 5 February, 1985, on the Portuguese island of Madeira. Named after Ronald Regan, he has one brother and two sisters, and is still very close to his family. By the age of 12 he was already famous on the island for his ball playing bility and it wa no surprise when he joined Sporting Lisbon for whom he first played, aged just  17. He scored two goals on his debut. He was on his way.

Ronaldo rapidly made his way into the Sporting Lisbon history books. In one season he achieved the incredible feat of playing for the under16’s, under 17’s, under 18’s, B-team and first team.  He spent two seasons in Sporting's first team and his big opportunity to further his career came during a friendly match against Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.

Silky Skills

Cristiano Joins United

Sporting won 3-1 and Ronaldo terrorised the United defence. Afterwards, Sir Alex Ferguson was begged by the United players to buy  Ronaldo. Sir Alex had been following his progress for months and did not need much persuading. And so, on 12th August 2003,
Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Manchester United. There was a bright new star in the firmament.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Living Legend

Cristiano, Season 2008-9

In his first match against Bolton he came on after an hour and immediately terrorised the opposition, giving a man-of-the-match performance. He had a hand in two of the goals, won an unconverted penalty, and became a Manchester United legend overnight. He got better and better as the season went on, and eventually helped his new team win the FA Cup.

Ronaldo matured a lot during his first two years at United and he became a regular in the Portuguese national first team squad. His rise to the very top of the game continued. The 2008
season started off slowly, with Manchester United falling off the pace with their worst start to the Premier League ever but it didn't take too long before Cristiano was knocking in the goals, and United soon started to win, and win well.

Cristiano Top Ten Goals

A Fantastic 2008 Season

Over the course of the season, Ronaldo went on to score 42 goals - an amazing total for a winger. He had a few misses that will be remembered less affectionately by the fans - penalty misses at West Ham (which would have got 3 points for United instead of one), a penalty miss in the first leg of the Champions League semis against Barcelona, in Barcelona, and the miss from the spot in the Champions League Final.

With Ronaldo able to guarantee goals for the team and an ultra-mean defence, United won the Premier League (again!), and a historic Double was completed when United beat Chelsea in Moscow on penalties - Ronaldo headed United in front, but was left in tears when he
missed his penalty. Thankfully John Terry then missed and Ronaldo was saved.
