The 2014 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival runs every day from September 19 through November 10. (That's an extra week as compared to the 2013 Food And Wine).

Here is your guide for how to get in and what to do once you are there.

Reservation lines open in August 2014. You will need to call 407-WDW-FEST (407-939-3378).

Events fill up quickly so call at your earliest convenience.

Check back here for the exact dates and the opening date and time for reservations.

Here is a look back at the 2013 event.

If you are going for the day and don’t have reservations to tasting seminars and Dining Experiences (which must be made early), then here’s what you need to know.

  • Your EPCOT admission gets you into the park and gives you access to all the food and wine booths. You can also attend the Eat To The Beat concerts which are at 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00.
  • Booths are open until the start of Illuminations.
  • Pick up a guide book at the entrance gate. Once you pass Spaceship Earth, veer to your left to go to the Festival Welcome Center. Here you can get passports and attend special seminars that are first-come, first served.

Note: If you do want to attend the special demonstrations, you will need to get in line up to 90 minutes in advance. These do fill up quickly.

Your whole party must be with you when you get in line as they will count and cut off the line at a certain point.

Eat To The Beat Concerts 2014

The concert series is a great way to end the day. Eat To The Beat Concerts are included with your park admission.

Lines form early so it is best to arrive at least an hour ahead of time with your whole party. Grab a drink and some food samples to enjoy while you are waiting in line.

Once the line is deemed to be at capacity by a cast member, a stand-by line will be formed and guests will be allowed in only after all others are seated.

If you really must insure you see the band, you can either get special seating through Party for the Senses or by getting a wristband from the Chase Cardholders’ lounge at the Festival Welcome Center.

New for 2014: There are now dining packages available! See the information below the band list.

Food And Wine Booths 2014

The following is a list of Food and Wine booths for 2013. Included are recommendations for food samples and drink.

Some items are eligible as a snack item for those on the meal plan.

These eligible items will be indicated on the menu at the booth and will have the Disney Meal plan emblem beside them.

This list will be updated as the 2014 information becomes available.

Party For The Senses

If you attend the Party for the Senses, you will have a special reserved spot at the Eat To The Beat concert.

The party happens on Saturdays at the World Showcase Pavilion.

Admission should be reserved in advance.

A regular entrance allows you unlimited tasting of different food and wines. There is usually entertainment.

There are also upgraded experiences which include reserved seating and early entrance to the party.

If you absolutely must see the band scheduled, this is one way to insure that you get into the concert and have a place to go afterwards.

Although it is called the Food and Wine Festival there are plenty of beers and other spirits to sample.

Chase Cardholder Perks

If you have a Chase Credit or Debit Card, go to the American Pavilion.

There are sometimes limited special perks. Will update when 2014 perks become available.

Festival Preview Night 2014

If you are a Tables In Wonderland member (Disney’s dining discount card) then there is a Food and Wine festival preview that you can attend. Details are usually posted a few weeks ahead of the events.

Wine and Dine Half Run Marathon 2014

The Half Run Marathon is an event that occurs on the last weekend of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

The 2014 Half Marathon will likely be on November 8. Participants will register here:

The marathon starts at the ESPN sports complex and runs through Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and finish in EPCOT. All at night.

That same weekend there are also 5K runs and family fun runs so that all ages and all levels of runners can participate. The event fills up quickly so register early.

Best Time To Go

If you can, the best time to go to the Food and Wine festival is during the week Monday through Thursday. The weekends can be extremely crowded. So if you are going on a weekend, allow extra time for standing in lines to sample the food or for trying to attend the concerts.

If you are planning on purchasing 2014 Food And Wine souvenirs, you will want to buy those closer to the beginning of the festival. Sometimes specific sizes of shirts will not be available during the last few weeks.

But if you are looking for bargains, there are often discounts on the festival specific items during the last couple of weeks.

The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival 2014 will be an exciting event. It is an all day event so plan to go and sample, rest, eat again. Enjoy music and end the night with a toast while watching Illuminations.

As for concerts.... Actually they opened the ropes and 20-30 yr old women ran to get a spot in line at 11 am for Hanson. Did it both days to get front row. So, that is 6 hours in line if you are there to see a particular band.

Disney likes putting on festivals, I see. I wrote about one they do annually with Orange County Water District to teach children about watersheds and conservation. This one looks like fun and frolic. Where is it held - California or Florida?
