2017 Elimination Chamber Predictions

Updated on February 11, 2017

Since Smackdown seems to be the hit show right now, it's only fitting they get one of the popular PPV.

The highlight of the show will be the Elimination Chamber match itself, but let's not forget the Tag Team and Women's championship matches.

This is the PPV that will help determine where everyone's headed when Wrestlemania comes.

Nikki Bella vs Natalya

Despite criticism, the Nikki Bella and Natalya feuds is one of the most talked about stories on Smackdown.

After revealing herself as Nikki Bella's attacker during Survivor Series, Natalya has amped up the feud. Week after week, Natalya has delivered verbal assaults to Nikki, going as far to bring up Nikki's relationship with John Cena.

Bringing Nikki's personal life into the picture has furthered along this storyline, which will come to a head on Sunday.

Prediction: Natalya has been getting the upper hand as of late, but at Elimination Chamber Nikki will get the victory.

Tag Team Turmoil

Smackdown's tag team division has taken a backseat as of late. But at Elimination Chamber, all 6 teams will face off in a tag team turmoil match.

Current champs American Alpha will defend their titles against The Usos, The Ascension, The Vaudevillians, Breezango, and Rhyno and Heath Slater.

The Usos along with Rhyno and Heath Slater will be trying to add another tag team win to their arsenal. While Breezango, The Ascension, and The Vaudevillians are looking to score their first tag team championship.

Prediction: American Alpha will retain. They just win the titles not too long ago and it's a mistake to have them lose this early.

Naomi vs Alexa Bliss

Naomi is no doubt one of the most athletic women on the roster. She's a fan favorite with the crowd and everyone has been pulling for her to get a title shot. Imagine how excited the Feel The Glow crowd would be if Naomi was crowned the new Women's champion on Sunday.

Meanwhile Alexa Bliss, who is perfectly shining in her heel role as asserted her status as one of Smackdown's top women. Her mic work and heelish antics have been a hit, garnering heat with her feuds.

Prediction: Unfortunately for Naomi, her title hopes will have to wait a little while longer. Alexa Bliss will walk out the winner.

Dolph Ziggler vs Apollo Crew & Kalisto

Poor Ziggler went from being an Intercontinental champion to being downgraded to a feud with Kalisto and Apollo Crews.

While the feud may not be a hit with the crowd, it's given Ziggler a chance to shine as a heel.

Kalisto is a favorite of the crowd, while Apollo Crews is still trying to win over everyone. Him defending good friend Kalisto could be a way to gain popularity with the crowd.

Prediction: Even though the odds will be against him, Ziggler will find a way to pull out a victory.

Becky Lynch vs Mickie James

For weeks, the masked La Luchadora wrecked havoc during Becky Lynch's matches. It wasn't until the Women's championship steel cage match when Mickie James revealed herself as La Luchadora.

James was one of the Golden Era divas and helped carry the women's division following the departure of Aliya and Trish. Feeling under appreciated that Lynch is taking credit for the new Women's revolution, James is set out to prove a point to Lynch.

Lynch meanwhile is one of Smackdown's top women Superstars. She's part of the famous 4 Horsewomen of NXT. However, she tends to not get enough recognition like her cohorts Charlotte, Sasha, and Bayley. Since being drafted to Smackdown, Lynch has had an opportunity to shine on her own and gain a legion of new fans.

After losing her title, Lynch been on a losing streak. Fans are backing the underdog Lasskicker, ready for her to get back to the top.

Prediction: Mickie James will win to cement her heel role and further the underdog storyline for Becky Lynch heading into Wrestlemania.

Luke Harper vs Randy Orton

Tensions have been brewing for a while with The Wyatt Family.

Longtime member Luke Harper wasn't pleased when Randy Orton joined the clan. Despite winning the tag team titles, bad blood continued to exist between the two. Things got even worse following their championship loss.

With Bray taking Randy's side in the battle, Harper is looking for revenge against The Viper.

As the 2017 Royal Rumble winner, Orton is looking to gain momentum heading into Wrestlemania. Yet, he could have his hands full with Harper, who's proven he can be just as menacing as leader Bray Wyatt.

Prediction: Following his Royal Rumble win, look for Orton to score another PPV victory.

John Cena vs AJ Styles vs Bray Wyatt vs The Miz vs Dean Ambrose vs Baron Corbin

In the main event, 16-time champ John Cena will defend his title inside the Elimination Chamber.

The five men going into the chamber with him are former champ AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, The Miz, Dean Ambrose, and Baron Corbin.

All 6 men are at the heap of Smackdown and they're going to give it their all inside the chamber. They all deserve to be champ and should headline Wrestlemania, but only one can win.

The Miz, Ambrose, and Corbin probably won't be winning. Instead, they'll be included in the Intercontinental championship match at Mania.

As for AJ Styles, there’s no doubt he’s been superb as WWE champion and fans would love to see him recapture the title. Yet, it appears the WWE is moving Styles away from the main event scene.

John Cena just won the championship not too long ago so it would seem unimaginable for him to lose it this soon. Yet, we have had champions lose the belt within the span of a few minutes, so anything’s possible.

Bray Wyatt is way overdue for a championship win and with Randy Orton as the #1 contender, it would be interesting to see Bray fight the newest Wyatt family member on the grandest stage.

Prediction: It's going to come down to either Cena or Bray, yet if you believe the recent Wrestlemania rumors, expect Bray Wyatt to be crowned champion.
