Villareal vs Porto

Hello again everyone and welcome to my latest hub and this time I am covering a game from the Europa League tournament and it will be Villareal against the Portuguese Dragons, Porto.

The mighty FC Porto took a giant leap towards the final in Dublin when they trashed Villareal 5-1 in their first semi-final game at the Estadio do Dragao. Villareal paid the price and they paid it heavily after being guilty of fluffing a few clear cut chances early on in the game and their chances of getting into the final is little to none.

Falcao was the star of the show in the previous game, leading FC Porto's attack into running riot in the second half. It was a blistering second half display from the Europa League favorites with Falcao scoring FOUR goals past Villareal. Falcao's attacking partners, the Hulk and Moutinho, also contributed to the team's cause, with the Hulk grabbing an assist for one of Falcao's goal.

Villareal weren't all that bad in their previous game but their downfall was their bluntness in front of goal. They squandered at least 3 chances early on in the game with Nilmar and Rossi being the culprits and to Porto's relief they were still leveled. It could've been over by the time the first half ended but it didn't and the hosts made them pay for those costly misses.

The second leg game will still be a competitive one, with Villareal in a state of defiance, will be looking to at least win the return leg but scoring 4 goals past Porto won't be an easy task. Porto will look to defend their 4 goal lead in the second leg but they will surely look for at least two away goals to kill the tie away and book their place in the Europa League final in Dublin.

Even though Villareal will try to beat the odds in the second leg, I still can't see them beating a very good Porto side. My prediction would be Porto to edge the tie and advance to the Finals.

Final Score = Villareal 1 - 2 Porto

Over/Under = Over 2.5 goals.

Asian Handicap = Porto Win (even odds).
