It Takes a Village
The FHS swim team takes the proverb, "It takes a village" to heart as assistant coaches Justin Vestal and Julie Winters provide more than just support.
Justin Vestal is relatively new to Forbush High School, but has already made an impact. Justin is the head coach of the women's tennis team, and an energetic teacher. During the swimming season, Justin has helped to record times, run practices and anything else that needs doing. He is an excellent role model for the Falcon student athletes.
Julie Winters is a knowledgeable addition to the staff for both swimming and cross-country. She is able to take over practice when head coaches Mark and Stephanie Beuter are not able to attend. Julie also takes great photos that she shares with the student athletes, school and local papers.
The Forbush swim team is grateful to have both Justin and Julie!
Going places - fast!
The women's 200m medley is exceptional. These Falcons can really move in the water. Gina Myers, Samantha Wooten, Sierra Winters and Maris Bey look to make a splash in the tournament.
Jamie Beamguard is a student athlete. In the classroom, Jamie works hard to maintain a high GPA in some of the tougher classes that Forbush High School offers.
In the fall semester, Jamie is an active member of the Bush Band. During the winter months, Jamie moves indoors to compete on the Falcon swim team. He is pictured here perfecting the backstroke at the YMCA.
