Hobie Kayaks Are The Way To Go

Updated on July 30, 2019

Why Hobie?

Hobie carries a variety of fishing kayak models. These are all excellent choices, depending on your budget and needs. The models have different lengths, sizes, colors and functionality. Hobie is a very innovative company and is always updating their kayaks. The 2019 Outback was redesigned and Hobie’s most significant upgrade to date is the 2020 state-of-the-art Pro Angler.

Hobie is an industry leader with MirageDrive 180 propulsion system. The system is a pedal drive system that allows the user to easily propel themselves forward. It is very quiet and fast as well as being low maintenance. One advantage is it allows the user to quickly go in reverse. All fishing Hobies come with this except for the advanced, 2020 Pro Angler which is equipped with the MirageDrive 360. This is significant upgrade. The accompanying rudder system allows the user to steer the boat with the turn of a knob. The user is also able to easily raise and lower the rudder while the user is in a sitting position.

Other benefits of Hobie fishing kayaks are they are built very well and are very durable. Their exceptional design also provides great stability with some models being so stable that anglers can stand and fish. Hobies are also known for their extensive features which provide anglers with fishing comforts and convenience. These features are easily compatible with major fishing industry companies. Features include large storage compartments, comfortable seats, dual H-Rails, which is Hobie’s deluxe accessory mounting system. This provides endless opportunities for accessory mounting using RAM and Scotty mounts, among others. This is a very convenient solution for mounting fish finders, rod holders, etc. Some of the kayaks are Lowrance and Power Pole ready. This makes these units very easy to install. Additionally, electric motors such as Torqeedo, Bixpy, and the Hobie eVOLVE, can be used on these kayaks.

This is an angler’s dream which provides the ability to easily stay on any fishing spot. The new kick up fins are included in the upgrade. The fins are more flexible and durable and won’t break after running into something as a result of the fins kicking up when something is hit. Additionally, this model has significant standing room with grip pads to minimize slipping and provide noise reduction. Full length H-rails on both sides.
