15 member Indian cricket team for 2011 world cup cricket matches
BCCI on 17/01/10 announced the 15 member team for world cup cricket matches. The team comprises of 7 batsman, 4 pacers, 3 spinners and one all-rounder. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be leading the most famous batting line of India for the 2011 world cup cricket. Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvaraj Singh, Suresh Raina will mix with Sachin to fill the task of batting. Virendar Sehwag is the vice captain assisting Indian cricket team captain M.S Dhoni. Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar and Ashish Nehra were the pacers choosed by the selection panel. Harbhajan Singh, R,Ashwin, Piyush Chawla will form the spinner’s trio. Yusuf Pathan is selected as the all-rounder. Cricketers who were disappointed by the selection include pacer Sreesanth, spinner Pragyan Ojha and all-rounder Rohit Sharma. Selection panel is headed by chief selector K.Srikanth.

Srikanth told to reporters that selection was done after evaluating the experience of players and taking consultations with coach and captain. He added that the 15 member crew is the best for Indian to take part in the 2011 world cup cricket and to win the title for the country.
