JV Boys Dish It Out
Someone Need a Dime?
The junior varsity boys are unselfish with the basketball. None more so than Micah Cranfill who dropped at least half a dozen dimes in the first half. In the first quarter, the majority of these assists found Jared Bowman who contributed 6 of the 14 points for the Falcons.
Jared took the second quarter off, so Jarrett picked up the scoring with 6 points of his own to push the Falcon lead to 30 - 21 at the half.
The third quarter was about even as the Greyhounds were able to hang around. This time it was Tyler Campbell, Jared Bowman, Josh Wood and Jarrett Hall that put up the points. By the fourth quarter the Falcons had introduced eight different players to the scoring.
The Greyhounds made a late push in the fourth quarter as some of its younger players entered the game with the right shooting stroke from distance. However, it was the size of the Falcons that ended up being too much for North Surry. The final score was 73 - 66 in favor of the Falcons.
Jared Bowman led all scorers with 17 points. Josh Wood added 16 points while Jarrett Hall had 10, and Tyler Campbell 9.
The Falcons will be in action again on Friday as they host the Wildcats of West Stokes. This will be a 5:00pm start.
Jared Bowman had six points in the first quarter, four in the third and seven in the fourth to lead the Falcons in scoring.
Lance Kennedy puts up the floater in the first half against the Greyhounds.
Joshua Sisk gets into the action as he looks to kick it out to the weak side for an open shot.
Out On The Break
Tony Douglas pushes the ball forward for the bucket. The Falcons love to attack the basket.
