What is Kickboxing? Kickboxing is one of the newest forms of Matial Arts and has really taken the world by storm. It incorporates kicking, punching and sweeping whilst at the same time improving fitness, confidence and co-ordination. Kickboxing is a challenging sport that raises your fitness levels to a new peak so if you're thinking of taking up Kickboxing it may be wise to get clearance from your doctor. If you already take part in Kickboxing you will understand the passion that is behind this fantastic sport.
So why this page? This page has been set up to celebrate the success of KickboxingLK in becoming one of Ireland's most successful club's. The club is one of Ireland's fastest growing Kickboxing clubs and home to World and European Champions and students of all belt levels. As well as training Seniors there is also a class running for children (I actually know of one person that joined as a child as he was being bullied at school and has gone on to be a good accomplished fighter - needless to say the bullying stopped!!).
Kickboxing is fast becoming one of Ireland's fastest growing sports. Tommy McCafferty is twice ISKA world champion and MMA Champion, Ireland. He ensures all his students Kickbox:-
- To up their fitness and confidence levels
- To grade through their belts
- To fight at national and international levels
