Manchester United - Angelo Henriquez

Updated on June 5, 2013

Henriquez scores a Hat-trick of headers for Chile

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Angelo Henriquez from Universidad de Chile, not much of Henriquez is known to the English audience but Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United have reportedly been keeping tabs on the young chillean for a few years now and at the age of 18 have decided it is time to snap him up.

Ferguson had already arranged a deal with the club for Manchester United to have first choice on the player, should other clubs be interested, this would appear to be a shrewd business move and its exactly this transfer savvy that has helped him and Manchested United to acquire bargains year after year, we are reminded once again of the surprise transfer of a relatively unknown Javier Hernandez at 6 million which turned out to be a steal.

The figure for Angelo Henriquez from Universidad de Chile to Manchester United is currently undisclosed but one would surely think that Angelo is a player for the future opposed to be applied instantly.

There is not very much footage of him and not of very good quality, so i guess we will just have to see him for ourselves

Have You Heard of Angelo Henriquez?

indeed! Wilshire prime example, even Ramsey but then thats a hard tissue injury opposed to the soft tissue injuries that seem to be the most common amongst young players who are being overtrained, then again, since bones have not yet fully formed until the age of 21 in some cases, then perhaps these hard tissues injuries are a cause of that

Can't say I've heard of him. Lets hope hes another Hernandez and not another Djemba Djemba (so good they named him twice !)

Interesting what u say about injuries to young players who play alot of games too soon. How many games did Wilshere play for Arsenal (and on loan at Bolton) in the first few seasons of his career? He's now been out injured since august 2011!

Havent seen Wooten, or dont recall him if i did see him.

Lets be honest, Man United is a full fledged team, they are in every competition. Smalling and Jones SAf really liked and they battled, but so many matches in the EPL, the most physically challenging league. It is too much for a young player on a top squad.

Yeah Rodgers talked only today about not piling too much pressure on him too soon, he does look a good player..

Smalling and Jones hmmm... would be interesting to know if their 1st team action is responsible for so much injuries now.

I like Scott Wooton, our reserve defender.

This is about the next generation for Man United . Welbeck chicarito sagawa now Henriquez nani valencia, they will be in man united for a while. the only problem with the next gens is the defenders, got a serious injury bug, though i would argue a team like man united can't play youth players so strongly. And, I think their young defenders were put out a little too soon. I think of that kid at Liverpool, sterling, he is starting but he may need a break from time to time or he might get a lingering injury.

I voted never heard of him, although from what i've read about him recently, he sounds an exciting enough prospect.
