This match is just an opinion of what would occur if a bout took place at Welterweight between Floyd Mayweather and Sugar Ray Robinson.
Round 1: Robinson lands several jabs but misses with every other punch he throws. Mayweather made Sugar Ray miss constantly but barely landed 4 punches the whole round himself. At the bell Robinson lands a hard body shot and Floyd lands a counter right to the face. Robinson 10 Mayweather 10
Round 2: Robinson has the height and reach advantage but still can't land anything clean other than the stick. Mayweather finally starts finding home for short lead right hands. Robinson lands a big right hand and Floyd holds on. After the clinch, Mayweather lands a leaping left hook and moves away. Neither man can get the better of the other as they throw one and two shots at a time. Robinson 10 Mayweather 10
Round 3: Sugar Ray decides that he has to apply pressure to get the win and comes out much more aggressive. Robinson throws several hooks this round and is landing some to the body. Even though Floyd is blocking most of the incoming he is not throwing much in return. Sugar Ray misses an uppercut and slips to the canvas.Money lands a lead right and slides away from Robinsons counter right. At the bell Sugar Ray lands a double jab and Mayweather's nose starts to bleed. Robinson 10 Mayweather 9
Round 4: Robinson rushes out of his corner but Mayweather, who has excellent footwork, gets on his toes firing off steady jabs. Robinson lands a big left hook to the body followed by a hard right hand to Floyd's temple. Surprisingly, Mayweather took the shots well and landed a double strait right of his own. Mayweather has Robinson stalking him which is what he wants. Money lands a left hook and ties up Robinson. Out of the clinch, Robinson lands a leaping left hook that appears to stagger Mayweather but the bell rings and Mayweather slowly walked to his corner. Robinson 10 Mayweather 9
Round 5: Mayweather is on his toes again while Robinson barrels in towards him. Robinson continues to pound the body and miss upstairs. Floyd lands several big left hooks in this round but Robinson bloodies his nose again with a few snappy jabs. Floyd is throwing pot shots with lead rights and left hooks beginning to land. Robinson lands a hard right to the head and Mayweather holds on. When action resumes Floyd lands a jab to the body followed by a lunging strait right. Robinson holds for the first time in the bout. The final minute finally saw Mayweather start to land the stick, hitting Sugar Ray with 13 out of 19 jabs in the round.

Round 6: Mayweather, who may be slowing up on the dancing due to Robinson's constant hooks to the ribs, comes out in his shoulder roll stance. This suits Sugar just fine since he is a very accurate puncher, a place puncher if you will. Robinson lands on Floyd repeatedly to the body but missed twice with fast left hooks to the head. Mayweather who can't land his lead right is starting to find a home for the lead left hook. Floyd lands two left hooks and steps to the side but Sugar Ray is not letting up. Robinson lands a hard right uppercut which makes Floyd Tie up. Out of the clinch Floyd leaps in with his lead left hook but Robinson beats him to the punch with a perfect right hand and Floyd goes down hard. Mayweather gets up smiling but looks dazed. Robinson runs to his opponent but the bell rings. Robinson 10 Mayweather 8
Round 7: Robinson comes out with a hard jab probing for a knockout. Mayweather is very alert and lands a double right hand and Robinson misses with his return fire. Robinson crowds Floyd on the ropes and fires 7 big shots landing two clean rights to Floyd's face. Pretty Boy, whose nose is bleeding profusely now, took the shots well. Robinson lands a followup uppercut but takes a right from Mayweather who then holds on. Floyd who is using the shoulder roll nicely, gets tagged by a hard left hook that makes him wobble. Robinson follows up landing a hard one-two to steal a close round. Robinson 10 Mayweather 9
Round 8: Robinson now comes out using his height and reach. Mayweather is getting hit with Sugar Ray's jab and can't get inside when Robinson's stands back. Mayweather lands a jab but is met with two in return. Robinson lands another body shot and Mayweather lands an uppercut and his own hook to the body. Sugar Ray gets Floyd near the corner and launched an all out assault. Mayweather avoided most but not all of the shots. Mayweather throws a lead right but Robinson lands his first and Floyd looks stunned. Robinson lands a jab and a hook off of it to finish the stanza strong. Robinson 10 Mayweather 9
Round 9: Mayweather lands two out of three jabs and makes Sugar miss wildly with his counter right. Floyd counters a grazing right by landing a crushing right to Robinson's mouth. Mayweather opens up for the first time in the bout. He throws a five punch combination and lands three. Robinson steps back and starts circling his foe. Robinson lands another jab and Mayweather seems to be developing a slight swelling under his right eye. With 30 seconds remaining Mayweather, who is winning a close round, leaps in with a leaping lead left hook but Robinson has been making adjustments to that punch. He tags Floyd first with a monstrous right hand counter and as Floyd staggers back to fall Robinson lands a humongous left hook to floor Floyd. Mayweather arises at 7 and looks worse than the first time he was felled.Robinson lands a jab followed by a hard strait round and Floyd clinches as the bell sounds. Robinson 10 Mayweather 8
Round 10: Mayweather comes out in his shoulder roll style and Robinson continues to stick jabs out. Robinson lands a strait right and gets countered by a hard right himself. Robinson steps back fires off three jabs, landing two. Mayweather is dodging more shots than he is taking but he can't reach Robinson with more than one shot at a time. Sugar Ray lands an uppercut but misses with the hook. Mayweather lands his own left hook to the body. Robinson lands a jab, followed by a glancing right. Mayweather lands a lead left hook and a right on the side of the head as he slides out of danger. Sugar Ray hits Money with a strait right but takes two rights in return just before the bell. Robinson 9 Mayweather 10
Round 11: Mayweather comes out seemingly fresh again but no matter cause Sugar Ray is a mad man. Knowing the bout is close Robinson lets it all hang out. Floyd threw some good jabs and right hands but Robinson walked through it and hit Mayweather with all he had to the body, arms and the head. Money was aware and slipping most of the big shots but he was puffed up and bleeding from the ones he did take. Finally, Robinson stuns Mayweather again in the waning moments of the round with a round house right. Robinson 10 Mayweather 9
Round 12: Robinson comes out throwing hooks and uppercuts. Floyd is covering up well but he takes a hard uppercut and holds on. Out of the clinch, Floyd lands a lead right and two jabs. Sugar Ray lands a right hand followed by a left hook and Floyd holds on. Robinson lands a left hook, misses a right but then lands a hybrid uppercut looking hook and Floyd ties up again. After they break Floyd leaps in with a pot shot right hand but Robinson eludes it and lands a huge body shot. Both men exchange jabs but Sugar follows up with a right hand and a hook at the bell that lands squarely. Robinson 10 Mayweather 9
The fight was close and hard to score but the two knockdowns scored by Sugar Ray make the score a little more lopsided than it was.
