NFL Insider's Week 14 Power Rankings

Updated on December 6, 2011

Listed below are the NFL Insider's Week 14 Power Rankings.

1
Green Bay Packers
The Packers are still unbeaten but could have very easily been beaten by the Giants. Their defense worries me.
2
New Orleans Saints
I believe the Saints are a better all around team than the Packers because they can play defense. The playoffs will be fun to watch!
3
San Francisco 49ers
The Niners are one of two teams that have already clinched their respective division. They need to play better on the O line against good defenses to have a chance come playoff time.
4
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens could be the best team in the league, but they play down to their competition too often. I expect them to win the North and have home field advantage in the playoffs.
5
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers are playing as well as anyone right now. Look for them to get one of the wild cards and make a deep run in the playoffs.
6
Houston Texans
Third QB, no problem. The Texans beat a good Falcons team and proved to still be one of the best teams in the AFC.
7
New England Patriots
The Pats survived a late surge from the Colts on Sunday. They will be in the playoffs, but they will have a problem against the defensive teams in the AFC like Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Houston.
8
Denver Broncos
Tebow is starting to throw the ball better and appears to have the Broncos in position to make the playoffs
9
Tennessee Titans
Tennessee is in position to get the 6th seed in the playoffs if they can keep winning. Chris Johnson is finally hitting his stride and they are playing extremely well.
10
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals probably shouldn't be ranked this high. They really don't seem to play well against good teams. The win over Buffalo doesn't seem to be as impressive now. They are young though so they will be good for years to come.
11
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are just on the edge of the playoffs and falling slowly. If they don't get it together, they will find themselves on the outs by the end of the month.
12
New York Giants
I really think the Giants are still the 4th or 5th best team in the NFC despite the string of losses. They really could have beaten the Packers Sunday and control their own destiny in the East with two games against the Cowboys.
13
Oakland Raiders
The Raiders were dismantled by the Miami Dolphins and lost their lead in the AFC West. I'm worried about this team. If they don't win the division, they don't make the playoffs.
14
Dallas Cowboys
They Cowboys lost to the Cardinals, should have lost to the Dolphins and Redskins the last two weeks, and have the Giants the next two out of three. They could be falling fast.
15
New York Jets
The Jets are clinging to their playoff hopes and are in the mix with Oakland, Tennessee, and Cincinnati. It's going to be a tight race down the stretch.
16
Detroit Lions
The Lions are falling off the face of the earth. Suh is adding to his horrible display the past few weeks by being involved in a car wreck. I feel bad for this team.
17
Chicago Bears
No Cutler and now no Forte. This team may not win another game this year. They looked like one of the better teams in the league when they were healthy, now, it looks like they have to wait until next year.
18
Miami Dolphins
It's too bad this team got off to such a slow start, because they are one of the hottest teams in the league right now.
19
Buffalo Bills
The Bills have played hard the last few weeks but they just dont have enough to get the job done without Fred Jackson. The defense is also one of the leagues worst.
20
Seattle Seahawks
Marshawn Lynch is an absolute beast and is carrying this team on his back. The defense is playing well too.
21
Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton has become the all time leader of rushing TD's by a QB in his rookie year. The Panthers are just not good enough to be competitive yet.
22
Washington Redskins
They have found a great asset in Helu, and the defense is still playing ok, but they just don't have enough fire power to win games consistently.
23
Arizona Cardinals
Arizona pulls out another thrilling over time game and are getting better. Too bad there season is already over.
24
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are still really bad but they did beat the banged up Bears. This team won't do much the rest of the way, but they have helped play spoiler against the Bears.
25
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers got a must needed win last night, but it was against a very bad Jacksonville team. This team is still bad and will not make the playoffs.
26
Philadelphia Eagles
Michael Vick is back this week against the Dolphins, but it's not going to matter. They have no chance of making the playoffs
27
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings took Tebow to the wire but couldn't get it done in the end. Ponder has his good moments but he throws too many picks in crucial situations.
28
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
They are bad. A near playoff team a year ago they've gotten much much worse this year. The defense is bad, the offense is worse, and they have no chance of making the playoffs this season.
29
Cleveland Browns
The Browns can't stop the run, and they have virtually no offense to speak of. It's hard to watch them, even though they are my team, I struggle to watch them play.
30
Jacksonville Jaguars
This team may have a worse offense than Cleveland. I think the new coach next season should look at a QB because Gabbert doesn't seem to have what it takes to be a starting QB.
31
St Louis Rams
The Rams are bad. There's really no other way to put it. They had so much potential coming into the season, but now Spagnola may lose his job at the end of the year.
32
Indianapolis Colts
Orlosvky gave the Colts a fighting chance, but it wasn't enough. They are still winless, but the good news is Manning is working out now and throwing the football.
