RUMORS had it that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to abort his March 13 fight versus Manny Pacquiao. Per report of ringsidereport.com- Mayweather will back out from the supposedly biggest boxing fight in history unless he gets his desired weight (close to 147 lbs) okayed. Mayweather hinted- according to this report - that "He will have a warm-up fight on that date instead- against (Matthew) Hatton in the UK or Yuri Foreman in the US.
kEVIN Mitchell- sports writer of the SportsBlog said: "Hatton and Foreman are mere bargaining chips being shoved around the gambling table by Arum and Golden Boy. Many stories of this nature are soon to follow. Don't let your emotions be carried away. What is the final venue and date of this fight? Answers to this and many more will be revealed at a press confab in New York on January 11, according to Mitchell.
AHN All headline News-Dec. 18. Dallas cowboy owner Jerry Jones is eager to stage the much awaited showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather at Cowboys Stadium. In March 13- Pacquiao and Mayweather will meet in the boxing ring to settle the debate on who is the decade's best fighter. Boxing analysts believe the fight will break financial records achieved by De La Hoya-Mayweather fight in 2007- which drew 2.15 million PPV buys. Jones offered &25 million to bring the event to Dallas- particularly in his &1.2 miliion cowboy stadium that can accomodate 100,000 spectators. MGM Grand (Las Vegas) and Staples Center in LA are likewise being considered as good venues for this spectacular boxing event.
DAVE Lahr in the Boxing News 24, Nov. 21st headlined: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather: Manny will get his ear's boxed off. He advised: "Pacquiao might as well retire now and go into politics or something because when he faces Mayweather, Manny will be taking the beating of his life and losing badly".
