PCB has announced the Squad for West Indies Tour of Pakistani Cricket Team. In the team new talent has been injected and old folks like Younas Khan, Kamran Akmal, Abdul Razzaq and Umer Gul could not confirm their place in the team. Mr. Muhammad Salman will be the new wicket keeper of the Team. However, surprisingly, worst performer of ICC 2nd Semi Final - Misbahul Haq, who has lots of contribution in the Indian win has been included in the team. Not only this, he will also lead the team in test matches. This sole aspect shows that the chances of betterment in Pakistan Cricket are far away. Now you can imagine betterment when no one is accountable for his bad performance. The other new players included in the team are Usman Salahuddin, Hammad Azam, Aizaz Cheema.
In West Indies Pakistan Cricket team will play one 20/20, 5 ODIs and two test matches. Tour will start on 21st April, 2011 with the solitary 20/20 match while the first ODI will be played on 23rd April, 2011. The test series will begin from 12th May, 2011. Keeping in view the performance of Pakistan in the ICC Worldcup Quarterfinal, it is expected that Pakistan will win this series quite comfortably. However, Pakistan is the most un-predicable team of the World. They can win from the strogest team of the world and lose from the weakest team. So, they need lots of prayers ad a feed for their success.
West Indies team is considered weak and Pakistan has already show excellent performance against them in the Quarter Final of ICC Worldcup, 2011. Hope this tour may bring betterment in the ranking of Pakistan Cricket team and God may protect our team from any further controversy. Pakistan Cricket team should not forget the incidence in late 1980s when some West Indian state's Police captured some of the Players on malicious charges.
Before the start of ICC Worldcup, 2011, the West Indies Cricket Team struggled a bit with regard to their player issues. However, still it was believed that they still had the potential to beat even the best team of the world. West Indies' real strength was their batting which comprises experienced players like Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul. They also had the support of experienced all rounder Derren Bravo, who has shown some marvelous performances in the recent past. Their bowling had some talented youngsters.
West Indies started their campaign for ICC Worldcup under the captaincy of Davin Smith on 24th February, 2011 with a match against South Africa. This match was won by South Africa quite convincingly. Though West Indies won their matches quite convincingly against comparaitvely weak teams like Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands, but they lost their matches In all the remaining group the West Indies Team could not challange any of the strong team like India and South Africa. However, the give tough time to England but in the end they could not chase the total, despite the fact that at one stage they were looking very comfortable.
