Paul M. Grist Campground
Located only 17 miles from Selma, Alabama and on a 100-acre lake, the campground provides 11 RV sites with sewer, water, 50 amp. service and free cable. It is a lovely and tranquil camping spot.
Paul M. Grist State Park is located close to Selma, Alabama. If you live near, it is a great spot to "get away from it all" and if you are traveling it is superb stopover. Recreational activities at the park include swimming, fishing, boating, picnicking, hiking and camping.

The park's 1,080 wooded acres surround the 100-acrePaul Grist Lake, which is stocked with bass, bluegill, red-ear sunfish, and catfish. Fishing tackle and supplies are available at the park office. Flat-bottom fishing boats are available for rent, and the lake has a launch area for privately owned boats.

U.S. History Buffs - Much to Learn in Selma, Alabama
At least once in your lifetime, every U.S. History buff simply has to visit the Edmund Pettus Bridge where on “Bloody Sunday” March 7, 1965 , 600 protesters gathered in Selma during the Civil Rights movement to march for their rights on U.S 80 to the state capital in Montgomery. In addition, near the bridge, you can visit the National Voting Rights Museum and Institute and the Museum of Slavery and Civil Rights. If you arrive in Selma via U.S. 80, there is a stretch of U.S. 80 that protestors led by Martin Luther King marched from Selma to Montgomery. Markers are located along this stretch of highway.
