The Eagles Win their first Super Bowl Without One of the Special Fans
The #Philadelphia Eagles finally won after going from Conference Champion underdogs to #Super Bowl Champions for 2018. During a local newscast of Actions News, Doug Pederson, Head Coach for the Eagles explained; "My wife and I were at dinner last night and the people kept coming up and saying 'congratulation.' Just listening to the stories of people and their families and how they have wanted and waited for this for so many years. For us to be responsible for that joy in their lives, I mean that's part of what we do this for and that's exciting." These words expressed the way I felt. My husband Walker, watched their games faithfully every year. With great anticipation and hope, he wanted to see the Eagles go to the Super Bowl. Walker was killed over seven months ago and never got to see that dream fulfilled.
Many readers of this article will try to convince themselves that Walker, did see the Super Bowl game as an #angel in heaven. Based on Bible truth, Walker knew that he would never be in heaven as an angel after his death; looking down on his family. He knew that "angels and humans differ greatly in their nature and their place in Jehovah's purpose. God created man 'a little lower than angels,' so those spirit creatures are rightly considered superhuman, with greater mental capacities and power. The 'proper dwelling place' of angels is the heavens. (Jude 6) As to humans, God's original purpose was for man to live forever on earth," based on the Bible and Research Guide-2017 of Jehovah's Witnesses. (Gen1:28, Ps 37:29)
Will Walker, find out one day that his beloved team won the Super Bowl? "Yes! The Bible shows that the hope for most humans who have died is to be resurrected. The vast majority of the dead are to be raised to life as humans on a paradise earth." (Luke 23:43, John 5:28) I am fully aware that many receive comfort by believing their dead loved ones are angelic and they can still talk to them. I find true comfort in the truth based on the Bible, that one day Walker will be resurrected on a paradise earth, where death and sickness will no longer exist. Our family looks forward to telling Walker, about the Eagles' Super Bowl win in the future. Whether it is relevant to him at that time, we will wait to see what Jehovah reveals in the future.
While on earth Jesus, proved this numerous times through the resurrection of Lazarus, Jairus' daughter, and the widow of Nain's son. These were testimonies about the Lord's ability to raise the dead, given to him by Jehovah God's holy spirit. Walker accepted and truly believed based on his faith in Jehovah's promises that although he was cremated, through God's memory of him; he will be restored to life just as Jesus was after he was put to death. It is that type of faith and hope in the resurrection that gives us the strength to go on every day.

Walker, Loved God, His Family and the Game of Football
My dearly beloved husband Walker L. Carter, was one of the most inspirational individuals I have ever encountered. His endearing true love for Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ was always encouraging. He worked tirelessly as an Elder, in the Christian Congregation. He would have appreciated the efforts his daughters and I, put forth to organize a Super Bowl party in his memory. The food which was catered by Kim of Carmine's Italian Grille, arrived around 3:00 pm. She elegantly, organized the food which consisted of delicious dishes such as Eggplant Parmesan with Spaghetti, Shrimp & Scallops Fra Diavolo, Teriyaki and Garlic Parmesan wings, Greek Salad, Grilled Vegetable and Cheese platter and Homemade Garlic Knots. The food was outstanding as usual.
Guests started to arrive around 4:00 pm. These were the faithful pinochle players which included my mother-in-law, Mom Carter. I played one game of pinochle and lost until the Super Bowl, started around 6:30 pm. The Eagles kicked a field goal around 6:42 pm, now the score was 3 to nothing after the Eagles scored a field goal. Around 7:08 pm the score was Philadelphia 9 to New England's 3 points. Within minutes Philadelphia had 22 points to New England's 12. At halftime, #Justin Timberlake, performed. My daughters, who are around his age were not impressed and neither was I. Although we did enjoy the dedication to our dear spiritual brother Prince, who was a Jehovah's Witness also. Now, it was time for the game to continue. Yes, we screamed and were excited as the Eagles became victorious over the Patriots 41 to 33, winning their first Super Bowl game. Screams, filled the house although we really did not want the Eagles to win because Walker was not here to see this victory. Still, it was sweet!
We have waited for years for this type of victory. #Gisele, the wife of Tom Brady, the quarterback of New England's Patriots, tried to explain to their young daughter why it was alright for the Eagles to win by stating, "The Eagles haven't won in a million years," which was discussed on the television program Good Morning America. Gisele, also played a role model for good sportsmanship when she posted congrats on Instagram to the Eagles. #Tom Brady admitted after five Super Bowl wins that, "Losing sucks. . . They made a lot of good plays today and we battled competitive but obviously we didn't get the job done."
Millions Will Be Present for the Super Bowl Parade in Philadelphia
As a resident in the Philadelphia area, we look forward to the Eagles' Super Bowl parade. News channels such as ABC's Action News reported that, "Millions of fans, some of them already started flocking to the city almost in delirium over the celebration of the first Super Bowl title in team history." News reports revealed that some fans were out as early as 3:00 am and some even slept in certain areas along the #parade route. The Eagles' Super Bowl parade will begin at 10:45 am, "Starting on Pattison Avenue and Broad Street, continuing down Broad Street to City Hall, making a left on South Penn Square, making a left J.F.K. Boulevard, making a right onto 16th Street, taking the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the Art Museum," on the Rocky steps, based on #Google.com. Held high during this parade and ceremony will be the #Lombardi Trophy. This will remind all their fans that they are the 2018 Super Bowl Champions of the world. There will be a sea of green throughout the city with individual clothing, green around Boathouse Row and even skyscrapers that loom over the city of Philadelphia, during this tremendous celebration.
Congratulations to Nick Foles, Doug Pederson and the entire Eagles organization. It is my prayer that everyone will be safe during this celebration that Walker was not here to witness. I am thankful that some of my spiritual brothers and sisters, will have carts full of religious literature that is based on God's word the Bible. We desire everyone to not only enjoy these type of celebrations now but also have a realistic hope for the future of all humankind. It is through this hope and monumental promise from Almighty God that one day, we will tell Walker, about everything that happened after his death; including the win of the Eagles and how they became Super Bowl Champions in 2018. Football, was a part of Walker's life. He was well known in the area, when he caught winning touchdowns at a Widener University game, where they won a division championship. I want all people to have this hope for their dead loved ones. It is vital each person appreciate that one day in the future, they will be able to talk about such magnificent times of celebrations, to their resurrected loved ones as well. We will get to see our dead loved ones again because they will rise, all thanks to Jehovah God.
