Predictions for 2017 Survivor Series

Updated on November 16, 2017

What started out as a mediocre PPV has now turned into a must-see show for WWE fans. With the recent match changes, fans are excited for the PPV. From the traditional men and women’s elimination matches to the dream match of The New Day vs The Shield, this PPV is bound to be one of the best of 2017.

There’s been a lot of hype leading up to the PPV and it's one of those shows where anything could happen. So who will walk away from Survivor Series a winner on Sunday.

Let's take a look at the matches.

Enzo vs Kalisto

Whether you like him or hate him, you have to admit Enzo has been flourishing in his role as a heel. Since joining the Cruiserweights, he’s brought a lot of attention to the division. As the current champion, Enzo is at the top of his game, yet the other Cruiserweights haven’t been impressed by his actions.

Fan favorite Kalisto is looking to recapture the championship from the most hated star in WWE. Will underdog Kalisto be able to defeat Enzo once more?

Prediction: Enzo wins

The Miz vs Baron Corbin

In a battle of the midcard titles, we have Intercontinental champion The Miz versus United States champion Baron Corbin. The two men are good wrestlers and have been building up their feud via social media. So far The Miz has been winning when it comes to cutting promos, but will that momentum carry over to Sunday.

Prediction: Baron Corbin will win. The Miz and his entourage don’t stand a chance against The Lone Wolf.

Sheamus and Cesaro vs The Usos

The original plan called for The Usos to face off against former RAW tag team champions Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. But two weeks ago, Sheamus and Cesaro win the championships and earned a right to fight Smackdown’s tag champs at Survivor Series.

Despite the disappointment from fans at the change of plans, The Uso along with Sheamus and Cesaro are sure to put on a hell of a match. With WWE’s two best teams going up against each other, fans won’t know who to root for.

Prediction: The Usos have been on fire this year and their streak will continue at Survivor Series.

Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles

This is another match that was changed in recent weeks. Universal champion Brock Lesnar was set to fight WWE champion Jinder Mahal, a match that fans were dreading. Due to the public criticism, WWE changed their plans by having AJ Styles win the championship from Mahal on an episode of Smackdown.

Now, Lesnar versus Styles is every fan’s dream match. At the top champions for their brands, Lesnar and Styles have a lot riding on this match.

Brock has been considered lazy by many fans, who feel he isn’t putting in the effort when it comes to his fights. Will AJ be able to get Brock motivated for their fight? Will this be another short match or will the two give the fans a money worthy battle?

Prediction: Lesnar wins. Despite the fan’s excitement, this will probably be another of Brock’s squash matches.

Alexa Bliss vs Charlotte

RAW women’s champion Alexa Bliss was originally scheduled to fight Smackdown champion Natalya. But on last Tuesday’s episode of Smackdown, Charlotte became the new champion.

Alexa and Charlotte are two of WWE’s best female athletes, they’ll no doubt give it their all in their match. Alexa has boasted about beating 3 of the 4 Horsewoman. Now, she's got her sights set on their leader, Charlotte. But Charlotte has proven that she's as tough as they come and not afraid to back down from any challenge.

Will Alexa succeed in taking down the final member of the 4 Horsewomen? Or will Charlotte prove once again why she's The Queen of WWE?

Prediction: There's no doubt that Charlotte will walk away with the victory.

The Shield vs The New Day

This is a money making feud fans have been waiting for. The Shield and The New Day are two of WWE's best stables and come Sunday, they'll finally face off.

Since their debut at Survivor Series five years ago, The Shield have become a dominant force in the WWE. Whether they're together or separate, Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns have shown why they're the company's top stars. Now, that the trio have reunited they're out to show the rest of the roster just how dangerous they can be.

Meanwhile, The New Day has become a popular stable too. For three years, they've dominated the tag division. Their colorful promos along with their athletic ability has made them a star attraction.

The New Day set up this feud when they invaded RAW and cost Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins their tag team championships. This angered Ambrose and Rollins, and now that Reigns has returned, the three are hellbent on revenge.

The New Day has been all talk heading into the Survivor Series match, but will they be able to handle the destructive force known as The Shield?

Prediction: The Hounds of Justice will get their vengeance.

Women's Elimination Match

Team RAW has Alicia Fox leading Sasha Banks, Bayley, Asuka, and Nia Jax into battle. While Smackdown captain Becky Lynch will have Tamina, Naomi, Carmella, and a mystery opponent on her team.

Charlotte was set to be part of Team Smackdown, but is now out of the match due to her championship win. There’s been a lot of speculation on who’s going to be the fifth member of Smackdown. Paige is the number one pick, but other options also include Nikki Bella and one of the NXT women.

Whoever the mystery opponent is, she and the Smackdown women will have their work cut out with Team RAW. With Nia Jax and the undefeated Asuka on the red team, the blue brand is going to have a heck of a battle.

Prediction: This is a match that could go either way. Many believe that Team RAW has the advantage due to Asuka’s undefeated streak, yet don't be surprised if Smackdown scores the victory.

Men's Elimination Match

Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon set in motion the battle between the two brands when his roster attacked RAW. But RAW didn’t forget Shane’s actions and they retaliated by attacking the blue brand days before the PPV.

Shane wants to prove that Smackdown is the superior brand and is prepared to lead his team of John Cena, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Randy Orton to victory.

Not to be outdone, RAW has assembled their own powerhouse team consisting of general manager Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and Triple H.

Both teams have a lot of star power and once these men step into the ring, they’ll blow the roof off the stadium.

But there’s still a lot of uncertainty heading into the main event match. How will Kurt’s son Jason Jordan react to being replaced by Triple H? Will Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens interfere in some way? Plus, will the tension continue with Shane McMahon and Smackdown GM Daniel Bryan?

Prediction: Again this is a match that could go either way, but expect some interference causing Smackdown to lose and Team RAW showing their the superior brand.
