Recap For UFC 111 Mir VS Carwin !!

* Greg Soto lost too Mathew Riddle!

Riddle took it Soto for the first 2 rounds, but late in the third round Soto landed a nasty up kick to Riddles heads, witch was an illegal blow. The blow was very bad, and the reff DQ sotto for the illegal blow. The final verdict was Mathew Riddle deafeting Greg Soto by DQ.

* Jared Hamann won with a decision against Rodney Wallace.

All three judges scored it 29-28 for Hamann.

* Rousimar Palhares beat Tomaz Drwal with a beautiful heel hook submission.

With in the first round Palhares was able to squeeze in a heel hook. The heel hook was so bad that it left Drwal injured and limping out of the cage.

* Ricardo Alemida beat Matt Brown with a triangle submission.

Ricardo Alemida showed much improvement in his boxing skills. And in the second round “The Big Dog” Alemida got a take down and finished the fight with a sweet Triangle submission.

* Nate Diaz beat Rory Markham do to a reff stopage.

The fight was all Diaz, Diaz show-cased his ever improving boxing skills. The ref stopped the fight in the first round because Nate was able to get Markham on the ground and Nate finished him by raining down punches, in till the ref came in and stopped the beating.

* Jim Miller beat Mark Bocek with a decision victory.

This fight could have gone either way. A great back-and-forth fight. All three judges scored it 29-28 for Miller.

Jon Fitch beat Ben Saunders with a decsion victory.

I take my hat off to Saunders for jumping up to fight such a tough guy. Saunders did get the end of a short stick, Fitch was able to do what Fitch does, take you to the ground, and ground and pound his way to victory. All three judges scored it 30-27 for Fitch.

* Kurt Pellgrino won via Rare Naked choke on Fabricio Comes.

Wow submission of the night. Pellgrino domanated Comoes in the first round, and he eventually finished the fight in the second round. Pellgrino won the submission of the night with his sexy rare naked choke.

* Frank Mir lost to Shane Carwin do to KO

Shane Carwin will be fighting Brock Lesnar for the heavy weight title. Shane Carwin has not yet ben defeated in the UFC and he has never been past the first round. Man can this guy fight. Carwin just has dynamite in his hands. Carwin landed some heavy blows on Mir, witch sent Mir to the ground, Shane followed Mir with some heave hands and knocked-out Frank on the ground.

* George St-Pierre beat Dan Hardy with a unanimous decision

George just dominated hardy all five rounds. George was able to take Hardy down when ever he wanted, and Hardey had no answers. George also almost broke Dans arm with an arm bar, and kumara, but some how Dan was able to escape. Judges scored it 50-43, 50-44 and 50-45 in Georges favor.

      St George Pierre still looking the goods, Mir getting near the end it seems and Carwin could give Lesnar a really hurry up with his illness and rawness. Diaz looked good to.
