Ronaldoh's Greatest World Cup Winners 11- Brazil

Updated on June 5, 2012

Brazil's greatest World Cup Winners

The mighty Brazil have so far won the World Cup five times. I have chosen my best 11 players from their World Cup winning sides.

To be fair I have only chosen players from 1970 onwards as most of my memories of football begin from that era. After researching Garrincha and Djalma Santos, terrific players they were, but I don't feel I have seen enough myself to warrant their inclusion.

Brazil's Best

  1. Claudio Taffarel.1994 winning keeper, conceded only 3 goals.
  2. Carlos Alberto.Captain of the triumphant 1970 team.
  3. Lucio.Played inevery game of the 2002 tournament, and getting better.
  4. Cafu. Most capped Brazilian player of all time.
  5. Gerson. Man of the match in the 1970 final.
  6. Rivelino.A creative heartbeat of the 1970 team.
  7. Jairzinho. Scored in every round in Mexico.
  8. Pele.Three times World Cup winner.
  9. Rivaldo.Play maker and great goalscorer.
  10. Ronaldo. All time leading World Cup scorer with 15 goals.
  11. Romario." King of the penalty box" and star of 1994 triumph.

It would have to beMario Zagallo was the first person to win the World Cup as both a player and coach he played in the 1958 and1962 teams and managed the 1970 team.

Well do you agree let me know if you can think of a better 11

I like your selection. With the dream team above, Brazil will be invincible. If only we could see all of them play together.
