Running Songs: a Playlist for Jogging
Whether you are jogging outside in a park, on the beach or running track; or you are visiting the gym to get on the treadmill, music can be a motivational source for you. I find that even when I am tired and stressed, the combination of great music and exercising can give me new energy and positive thoughts. I’ve gathered a list of songs that I hope you will also find enjoyable on your running routines.
How does music affect exercising?
Music has a great power on people’s minds and souls, and it has been part of human history and culture for thousands of years. Today it remains to have a significant role in our lives and in celebrations such as weddings and birthdays; it heals people and helps them go through pain and suffer; it sparks creativity and new ideas; tunes set the mood in movies; music creates the atmosphere in restaurants and cafés; it makes people dance; the national anthem unites big crowds; a lullaby calms down a crying baby; a warm melody makes lovers exchange sweet kisses - in summary music communicates with people and delivers a message.
Faster beats will help the heart rate pulse to get rapid and encourage us to move, dance, smile and laugh; on the other hand slower melodies will help relax, soothe pain and take away the stress and disconnect from the problems in the world even if for only a short time. So why not use the power of music in our daily routines, such as exercising and face sport challenges with a great support on our hands (or in our mp3 players)?

Warming up the muscles and streching carefully are very important before we start jogging. So do not skip this step but allow enough time to prepare your mind and body for the goal ahead of you. Start with a slow pace but dynamic harmony to help focus the mind and increase the hunger for moving.

At the end of the run there comes the satisfaction that we have achieved something wonderful and that we are stronger and happier than before.
