5. India Vs Australia - 117 not out

This was the First Finals of the Commonwealth Bank Series played at Sydney Cricket ground, Australia. The Australian Team won the toss and elected to bat first in a batting pitch. The Australian Opener Gilchrist, Ponting and MJ Clarke were dismissed cheaply. Then opener Mathew Hayden and Andrew Symonds had a partnership of exact hundred runs to help the team from a disaster. The target of 240 runs was set by the hosting Australian side to the visitors.

Robin Uthappa opened the innings for the Indian team with a partnership of 50 runs for the first wicket. Uthappa was dismissed for 17 runs by James Hopes. Then two more wickets fell quickly after the first wicket. India were 87 for three wickets in the thirteenth over. The team was really struggling to get runs. Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar then started to hit some shorts and scored runs over run a ball after 35th over. Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring 66 runs in 87 balls with six shorts reaching the boundary. The fourth wicket fell in the 42nd over of the match. The score was 210 runs with another 30 runs to win in the remaining eight overs. But Sachin Tendulkar finished the game in the 46th Over of the match. He was not out after scoring 117 runs off 120 balls. There were ten boundaries in the innings for the great batsman. India won the first finals by six wickets.


4. India Vs Australia - 141

This match was the 3rd Quarterfinals of the Wills International Cup. The Indian team were playing against the worlds number one team in the World Australia and need to win this match to enter the next round. India were sent into bat after the Australian Captain Steve Waugh winning the toss. India lost two wickets early in the innings. The Indian team were in great trouble as in form Azharuddin was also dismissed cheaply. Sachin Tendulkar then partnered with Dravid to take the teams total to 148 runs before Dravid's dismissal. Jadeja and Tendulkar continued with another good partnership to end the innings at 307 runs losing 8 wickets. Australia lost the match by 44 runs as they were dismissed for 263 runs in 48.1 overs. Sachin Tendulkar was the man of the match for his century and his added bowling performance taking four wickets for his team.

3. India Vs Australia - 175

Australian team toured the Indian team in the year 2009 to play 7 One Day Internationals. This match was the fifth match of the series with series poised at 2-2. Australian team won the toss and elected to bat first with a strong batting lineup. They scored a huge 350 runs in 50 overs losing four wickets. Indian openers Virendra Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar opened the innings positively by scoring runs with a good run rate. The first wicket fell at the score of 66 runs in 9 overs. The only man to score runs for the team after the first wicket was Sachin Tendulkar who scored 175 runs in 141 balls with 19 fours and 4 sixers. But that innings went is vain as they lost the match by three runs. India were all out for 347 runs in 49.4 overs. The match was a thrilling finish after some good cricket from both the sides.

2. India vs Australia - 143

This match was played in Sharjah in the year 1998. India need 237 runs from 46 overs to enter the finals of the Sharjah Cup. Australia already were in the finals with New Zealand the third team of the tournament. Australia batting first score 284/7 in 50 overs. The first target the Indian team need to reach to enter the finals is 237 runs in the 46th over. Sachin Tendulkar decided to play his aggressive cricket to take the team to the finals. He started to play his short from the start and did not stop till the end. He score 143 runs in 131 balls hitting nine boundaries and five sixers. This all changed for India and reached the finals in style. This was one of Sachin's best centuries which made him the star of game.

1. India VS South Africa - 200 not out

South Africa toured India for a 3 One Day International series. India won the first One Day match and were in good nick to win this match and also the series. India won the toss and elected to bat first with Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar Opening the innings. Sehwag was dismissed for 9 runs early in the innings. The second wicket partnership of 194 runs between Sachin and Karthik took India to a position to score more than 300 runs in 50 overs. Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni changed the game by scoring runs quickly and reaching 401 runs. The record of Saeed Anwar was broken by the master blaster. He scored 200 runs beating the all time best of 194 set by the Pakistani opener. Visitors scored only 248 runs losing all their wickets in 42.5 overs.
