Your Horse Needs Stubben Saddles

Updated on January 19, 2010

My friend owns several horses, and I was recently visiting him. We starting talking about horses, and I confessed that I knew very little about horses, or the way that they are taken care of, or pretty much anything, for that matter. While we were having this conversation, he was saddling up one of the horses. I was thinking about questions to ask him, when I noticed the saddle. Of course! I now had a conversation starter.

"So what about saddles? Is there any particular thing that you look for when you buy them?"

"Well, I only buy from Stubben."

I knew that I was on to something here. You see, I have noticed that in any industry, there is usually one brand that is head and shoulders above all of the other brands. I figured that this was the case here, so I decided to press the issue a bit to see if I could find any more useful information about these saddles.

"What is it that you like about these saddles?"

Holy cow. Folks, I opened the floodgates with that question. He immediately started talking about all of the benefits of Stubben saddles and how he has never had any problems with any of their saddles. I felt like I needed to take notes, just because he talked so much!

He talked about their durability, and about how great they feel for both him and his horses. I was a little bit skeptical. I mean, could he really tell how his horses felt about a particular saddle? I didn't think so. So I asked him:

"Surely you can't tell that your horses like one saddle better than another. I mean, I know that you really like your horses and all, but you aren't telepathic!"

"You don't have to be telepathic, man. You can just tell. They walk differently, they hold their heads up higher, they like Stubben saddles better than any other kind."

I still had my doubts, but he seemed pretty genuine about his belief, and my friend is not one to lie, especially about his horses.

So when I got home, I went on the internet and did some research on Stubben saddles myself. I figured that I could probably find cheap Stubben saddles on the internet. I wasn't wrong. Stubben produces some really high quality saddles. I can safely say that based off of my friend's approval of their product and my own research.

So what are you waiting for? Go buy Stubben saddles!
