2016 Survivor Series Predictions

Updated on November 20, 2016

Survivor Series

Survivor Series is one of WWE’s most popular PPVs. Tonight, both RAW and Smackdown are laying it all on the line as three of their top teams go head to head to see who’s the best.

With a tag team, women’s, and traditional men’s elimination match; the Superstars are going to give it all they have.

Plus, let’s not forget the big main event featuring Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar.

So, who will walk out winners tonight.

The Miz vs Sami Zayn

This past Thursday, The Miz shocked the Smackdown crowd when he won the Intercontinental championship from Dolph Ziggler. The Miz has earned the right to call himself a six-time Intercontinental champion.

Tonight, he’ll have his first title defense going up against RAW’s own Sami Zayn.

Zayn has a lot on his shoulders as Stephanie McMahon is looking for him to bring the championship to RAW. As for The Miz, he’s out to prove he’s the best in the biz and deserves to be called champion.

Winner: Both men would make great Intercontinental champions. The Miz won the championship just a few days ago, so it’d be silly to see it taken away so soon. Yet, the WWE has pulled this type of stuff in the past, so don’t surprised when they pull up an upset tonight.

I feel that Sami Zayn wins tonight. He hasn’t really done much in recent months, and a win would be a huge milestone for him. So I see Zayn winning the championship, then jumping ship to Smackdown.

Brian Kendrick vs Kalisto

In another RAW vs Smackdown match, RAW’s Cruiserweight champion Brian Kendrick puts the title on the line going against Smackdown’s Kalisto.

Much like The Miz vs Sami Zayn, both have a lot to gain.

Brian Kendrick returned after a long absence to enter the Cruiserweight tournament. After losing out in the tournament, Kendrick finally won the championship when he beat TJ Perkins at Hell in a Cell.

Kalisto is a former United States champion and he hasn’t really done much in recent months. Kalisto has a lot on his shoulders going into the match. Not only does he have a chance to win the Cruiserweight championship, but his win would have the entire cruiserweight division moving to Smackdown.

Winner: Brian Kendrick wins this one. He won the championship less than a month ago and it’d be a shame to end his reign this soon. Plus, I don’t see RAW losing the cruiserweight division to Smackdown.

Tag Team Match

In one of the largest matches of the night, you have 5 of RAW and Smackdown’s biggest tag teams meeting in an elimination match.

On Smackdown, we have the tag team champions Heath Slater and Rhyno leading The Usos, American Alpha, The Hype Bros, and Breezango into battle.

RAW’s team consists of some big names. Tag team champions The New Day are the team captains. They’ve been trying to set a positive example to team members The Shining Stars, Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Sheamus and Cesaro, and Luke Gallow and Karl Anderson.

Will The New Day’s motivational techniques be enough to help RAW?

Or will Smackdown gain the upper hand?

Winner: This is a match that I feel could go either way. All this tag teams are great, yet I feel RAW has the advantage here.

Women’s Elimination Match

The Women’s Revolution continues on with the women’s elimination match.

Team captain Nikki Bella will lead Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Carmella into battle as they face RAW’s women’s division.

Smackdown’s team will have their work cut out for them. RAW’s team consists of some of the most popular women on the roster. Women’s champion Charlotte has anointed herself team captain. Charlotte’s team includes: Sasha Banks, Bayley, Alicia Fox, and Nia Jax.

Both of the women’s teams have members who don’t get along. It’s going to be interesting to see if all the women can work together to win for their brand.

Plus, let’s not forget Natalya and Dana Brooke, who’ll be at ringside cheering on their respective brands.

Winner: As much as I love Smackdown’s women’s division, I feel like they don’t stand a chance against RAW’s team.

Men’s Elimination Match

This is just one of the main events of the night.

The match that will determine whose brand is the best.

RAW has assembled their biggest Superstars for this team. WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens and his good friend, Chris Jericho are looking to score a victory for their brand. In order to do that, they’ll have to have a united front with fellow teammates Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman.

Smackdown has also created a top notch team, which includes: WWE champion AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon.

Heading into this match, RAW had the upperhand when Smackdown invaded their show. However, a surprise appearance by The Undertaker on Smackdown’s 900th episode has the blue brand a dose of confidence going into tonight.

Like the rest of the teams, most of these men have had their battles in the past. Yet, with brand supremacy on the table, they’ll have to put their issues aside. Plus, let’s not forget about The Undertaker. With The Deadman back, it’s possible he could help the Smackdown team secure a victory.

Winner: A lot of people are giving RAW the win, yet I see Smackdown pulling out a surprise victory. In my opinion, Smackdown is the better brand and a win tonight will solidify why they’re the best.

Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar

This is a match that has been years in the making.

Rumors circulated for a while that Goldberg would return to challenge Brock Lesnar for a match.

Tonight, the long-awaited feud between the two comes to a head.

Brock Lesnar is an unstoppable force, he’s destroyed every opponent who steps into the ring with him. Goldberg is returning from a twelve-year absence from the WWE, all eyes are going to be on him to see if he still has what it takes to compete in the ring.

Winner: Brock Lesnar seems like the easy choice here, but I’m going with Goldberg with this one. There was so much hype with Goldberg’s return and a loss would take away all the importance surrounding it.
