Ping Pong Robots / Table Tennis Robots

Updated on October 18, 2010

What do Table Tennis Robots Do?

Table Tennis Robots are very advanced pieces of technology which can really help you improve your table tennis skills. These robots perform tasks like launching table tennis balls at you in different positions with a specified spin at a specified speed and catching the ball and ping pong robots are useful if a partner is not on hand.

There are a few different ping pong robots around and they vary from simply launching balls at you to doing all the things I mentioned above and more!  All famous players use these ping pong robots top practise and practise and become better at certain shots.

Ping Pong Robots Routines

One of the best things is that you can set up your own custom routines and most of the robots come with routines already on them.  This means you can keep practising certain shots e.g. you might program the first shot to land in the back right corner at a slow speed with loads of topspin or how about a fast drop shot?

That is the beauty of these table tennis robots - they can do any shot for you again and again.

Net Catchers

These clever robots also normally have devices like nets to capture your balls so at the end you don't have to pick up 100 table tennis balls.

Play whenever you want

You can play whenever you want now and don't need to struggle find a suitable partner who is around about the same time as you.

Get off those video games consoles and TVs and do a bit of healthy activity and look away from a screen for a few hours!  These ping pong robots are also great fun and children will also enjoy them.

The robots on the left are all fantastic and have many different modes and options. All of them let you program your own routines and shots with different amounts of spin and types of spin e.g. topspin, sidespin and underspin, with different speeds and in different places.

They all also have a net catcher and come with some table tennis balls to get you going.

These ping pong robots are fantastic because they also help you become a better table tennis player and do a bit of exercise and mean you can play whenever you want!
