The Beauty of Rugby

Updated on June 12, 2012

I am fortunate enough to have a husband who has played Rugby for many years and with that comes an amazing group of friends and camaraderie unequalled within any other sport. I am also fortunate to be the volunteer photographer of our local team, and through photography I have found out how wonderful the beautiful lines and flow there is inherent in this sometimes savage and exciting game.

More recently we have managed to form a Ladies Rugby Team who although new to the game hold nothing back in their determination to succeed - Go Bletchley Ladies!

And of course there always has to be the funnier side of things that get captured along the way:

Nice photos Eileen. I am still gutted that Wales didn't win the world cup (my Welsh blood always comes to the fore when the Rugby in on - don't know why, always support them more than England).

Well being originally from Scotland I am constantly on the 'wrong' side although that game against England certainly raised a few blood pressures in our house since my husband's English through and through.

Awesome shots and what a fun game. Looks like a cross between football and soccer.
