The Dolphins Need Moore More

What else does Matt Moore need to do? The Miami Dolphins 31-28 comeback victory over the New York Jets should seal the deal…but will it? This records the third time Matt Moore has recorded a win for the Dolphins, and the last two are what guaranteed they would make the playoffs last season.
The issue doesn’t seem to be in the better against Matt Moore, rather it’s better on other players more.
This means that Matt Moore has played well for the Dolphins and sparked wins, but the coaching staff thought that Ryan Tannehill was still the better option. This past off season, Tannehill received a season ending knee injuring. That means the back-up should take the job, right?
Matt Moore in action against the Jets
Not this time!
Despite recording two wins at the end of the previous season, coach Adam Gase thought it was a better idea to go out and get Jay Cutler. That’s not a bad idea seeing that Jay Cutler is a consistently decent quarterback. He cost a lot of money too. Coach Gase made a $10mil investment by getting Jay Cutler.
With that in mind it makes a little more sense as to why Moore has been put on the back burner a bit. This the victory came and Matt Moore put up some really good numbers to gain a comeback win over the Jets. He was able to throw for 188 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Not bad for a backup.
It makes sense for Gase to be so quiet on the subject and wait till they know more about Cutler to actually say anything. Reports say that Cutler has cracked ribs and that could be at least a week out.
It appears that Matt Moore will be getting at least one full game as a starter. If he leads the team to another victory we could see more of him in the future. Only time will truly tell. Right now, the Dolphins need Moore More.
